More bad news for consignors at Savvy Sister…read more.... Previously, you had to go in person during a narrow window to pick up your check (per the contract). Now, without notifying consignors or changing the contract, they've switched to mandatory direct deposit with a $2.50 processing fee tacked on. So consignors essentially have to pay to receive the money from their own sold items. (Note: this was not mentioned when I was in the store..... I was simply told they switched to direct deposit and would receive an email to set it up). I've never had to pay a fee for direct deposit anywhere else, so it feels like this is just another way for the store owner to squeeze more money out of consignors from their own sold items.

They are obviously picky about what they take on consignment. They aren't thrift store prices but they have color-coded pricing. Some are 20% off, many are 50% off! I found the perfect pair of white pants for my upcoming cruise and hubs found a shirt with tags still on. We also found the cutest Xmas tree skirt on 20% markdown. I am looking forward to our next visit!

I honestly didn't expect much since it was more known for the ice cream but I was blown away from the moment I walked in. It's huge and it's homey. It smelled nice inside as well. I loved the fact there was so many different things to look at and choose from throughout the store. The lady who checked me out was super sweet and very welcoming. I bought a super cute consignment kimono and my daughter got a crochet plush. This is a little hole in the way shop with a whole lot to offer. If you are heading on a cruise, beach vacation, or just live where you'll be in the water a lot, this is a fun place to find a unique suit or swimsuit cover. I will likely go back for a special occasion (like if I need a swimsuit for my honeymoon or a beach photoshoot) but the prices were a bit high for me. I couldn't fathom spending $60-$100 on a swimsuit. Again, unless it's a special occasion. So expect to drop a little extra cash here. But the quality of each suit seems well made. My BIGGEST complaint is that not many of the swimsuits offer nipple covers/pads. Ladies, I know you feel me on this. It's kind of a "must" if you plan on looking halfway decent getting out of water in a wet bathing suit. There are other things to shop for here as well besides suits and covers. Little Knick knacks that pull you into the place. All very cute and would make a safe birthday present or bridal shower gift. But it's definitely a "special occasion" store in my opinion :)
