I have never felt more uncomfortable than I did today when I stopped by this boutique for the first time. I just moved into the area a few weeks ago and thought I should check out the store. As soon as I walked in, I was not even greeted. I complemented the store to one of the employees and said how cute it looked, and the employee just looked at me. And then proceeded to look around and asked her about some straws if they would be compatible with Stanley She then responded to me and said with an annoyed voice "I don't know. I haven't tried them." working in customer service for 13 years I know better than to respond to a Customer this way. I walk away to look around and notice the employee at the register say something to the other employee as she walked up to me and asked if I wanted the straws placed at the register for me. At that moment, I felt like they were thinking I was going to steal. When I got done shopping, I walked up to the register. The employee at the register just had a complete blank stare. I then proceeded to pay for the straws and only had cash on me. She then responded. We don't take cash. Which is understandable because a lot of places have transitioned into taking only credit card payments. When I was walking out, I I realized how uncomfortable they had made me feel as if I didn't belong in the store. I am a girls girl and I love to support local stores and boutiques and coffee shops. I rather spend my money there than big businesses. This was very upsetting and disappointing hopefully this goes to management so they can do better read more
