Lovely spot. Popped in on a walk about and faces a pint. Lot of locals with lower seating and a few…read moretables. Two pool tables and a few wall gambling games. Service was fine. Went up to the bar for a drink and it was poured quickly and properly. A few other snacks are available too. No table service I don't think but a good spot to grab a beer, watch the match, or just have a drink with friends. Bathrooms were not anything to write home about but they get the job done. Some people out front smoking but I didn't see anyone drinking right outside. Parking is wherever you like on the street but most people just walk up. Obviously right along Main Street and the bus route so it's easy enough to get too. Cocktails, some seltzers, NA options, eight beers on draft, and the usual bottled domestics or imports. Big fan of the stained glass on the ceiling. Adds a nice atmosphere and plays well with the lights inside. Photo attached just because. Several take out spots that also have drinks and another similar pub nearby. This is closest to the train station and not as loud as a few other bars so it gets my vote. Cheers.

They have a live band/singer on quite a lot, which, if you have had a few, then it is really good fun, you can dance around like a bit of a prat and you're left alone to do so. The service is absolutely fine, you don't have to wait long at all to get a drink. There are other times, I have had one drink and left as just not feeling the atmosphere. They also show the sport in here which it is good for. I will return, as on the Borehamwood High Street, there are only a couple that play the football/rugby. I wouldn't go here if I wanted a "nice evening" out though, just not that kind of place.

Deep dark purple signage suggests money and a member's club feel and once you have stepped up the hefty steps, a doorman heaves open the door, a treasure lies within. Believe me you do need money to come in here but boy is it worth it. The place was packed with it being a Saturday after pay day after a long and somewhat alcoholically dry January. I had with me an egg that I had stolen from Pizza Express. Yes a hen's egg. I vowed to love, nurture and cherish this gift of life, insisting it would one day hatch. The egg was a talking point with friendly punters and sadly as I placed her on the bar to photograph her, she rolled off, smashing beneath my platforms. The manager quickly came to the floors aid and scooped up the mess, with me saying "who would bring an egg to a lovely place like this?" in his ear hole. Ahem. We got served quickly, even though the bar area is tiny and were produced with a fantastic passion fruit cocktail with a shot of expensive champagne. Later I had a shot of tequila and an 80's Pina Colada which I have to say was the best I'd ever had. Even after real ones in Cuba. Music was current, cool and loud and I managed to burst into the VIP section and get brought some drinks for myself and the other two darling Nicola's. Result. To finish off my fabulous members only kind of evening I used my light fingers again to acquire a lovely chalk board. This lives on my kitchen table.

Well I went to this bar called Whisperz just before Christmas. It's relatively local to me and am…read morealways eager to discover new places in surrounding areas. I feel like this area will be gentrified soon enough due to the new luxury apartments and a possible Supermarket which will probably open up nearby. The fact that Whisperz has a few local restaurants neighbouring it is nice, but I had popped in one evening on a Friday as I heard some music from within. It's not a wide bar but it is long and can hold a number of people. I think it's best for these type of nights out as it's good to stand, chat and drink here actually (which is what we did). We had a few cocktails seeing as we were in a mixed group and they had some deals on to save on the pennies which is good as Christmas was coming up. I'm not the biggest pop fan, but everyone was really into the music and you kind of got into it all as the night went on. The booze helped, but I suppose that's what bars like this are for. It was so good we ended up staying till near closing. From what I understand the site Whisperz (which I'm not sure what was behind that name) is changing it to something more specific (Bar Kitsch) as the owners loved the fun vibe of certain cheesy themed nights, so the music will be anything from 70's and 80's to the present. I'm totally down with that! I love that there will be an eclectic range of music throughout the years, even if there is a bit of cheesy retro songs. You never know I might even be tempted for a bit of karaoke if they play the Baywatch theme tune, haha. I welcome a fun new bar to the local area which is renowned for being quite sleepy, as it will improve the sense of the nightlife. Would be nice to have offering something different. Crouch End nearby already has some good little pubs and a few upmarket restaurants, so I love that finally there's a proper evening bar to let your hair down locally without having to venture far out of this area of North London and all with a late license! All good by me, especially if they keep the happy hour that everyone seemed to be taking advantage of previously. I look forward to the relaunch (apparantly it might be in March '16) and dancing to some funky tunes.
