I had only walked about ten steps into the shop when a sales assistant pounced on me asking if I needed any help. Don't get me wrong I like help, but nothing puts me off more in shops than not being given a chance to look and ponder. You know how it is working out the best deals, where you saw them etc. I haven't had that in HMV before. Please HMV give me a chance to come and ask for help if I need it. It is really hard to stand back a little to see what they have on the shelves. I prefer to online rather than to their shops as you arent squashed, you can do a quick search to see if they have something in stock rather than perusing for ages and it is usually much cheaper! The staff seem pleasant enough though, mainly because they have room to move behind the counter! This store is based on the Level 1 of the Lakeside Shopping Centre, it has plenty of parking around the building and there are many stops nearby for refreshments for after braving HMV mayhem!
