The venue itself is a great location, even if a touch out of the way of the main eateries. Of course I love the food offered, I love the view, I love sitting in the warm sun outside when possible but I've really enjoyed the constant welcome from the manager/owner of the place. The staff too ;) Says a lot to me when they take time out to meet n greet you personally. The selections of food have always been fresh and tasty...and filling. This joint is also open late so good to come before of after a movie to eat, chill and talk. It may not be a 5 star restaurant but I feel like I get a 5 star experience.

Balcony area is a major win for the upper location though. Order at the entrance to either take away or dine in at one of the cute tables or booths and listen to some great music whilst you wait. My partners bacon and cheese burger pushed his effort vs enjoyment ratio to the max but he pulled through. Finishing with dripping hands but he said it was worth it. My southern chicken burger was easier to manage with a great coating, double cheese and a zingy chipotle sauce. Chips were also delicious! Add $2 for a dipping sauce but I don't think they need it. I had the milo thick shake at The Rocks location years ago and happy to report it's just as good. Beers on tap or by the bottle. Sadly missed out on the $2 wine or schooner with any main meal which could be better displayed. We saw it advertised afterward when leaving the centre. But there's always next time. The wrap was large and packed with fillings of red onion, lettuce, tomato, avocado, sour cream and hot chilli. Don't be deterred by the chilli though. Was tame enough to feed to a baby. There is also the option of sweet chilli or other sauces. There is indoor and outdoor seating and eftpos available. I can't speak wonders for some of the Jesmond shoppers but they'll certainly keep you entertained while you eat!
