Carls Jr glendale is amazing and seriously underrated!!!! i honestly reccomend coming here and supporting them - cheap prices and great quality as well as great customer service. the only downside is i wish there was more of them! :) read more

One of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long time. In the midst of moving house my partner and I decided to try Carl's Jr for something easy but new. When we walked in there was no one waiting at the counter so we were able to order quickly. Being $14.95 for my meal it was slightly higher for a burger place. Must be good right? No. When I walked over to fill my coke. The first one was flat, no bubbles at all. Assuming it was that tap I tipped it out and tried another to test. Still flat, I then tried the no sugar coke thinking that may be on a different airation system. Still flat. I gave up at this point knowing I was going to have a flat drink. After 10 minutes we were still waiting, a seemingly long time when you walked in to no line and maybe 2 drive thru cars. We watched as the chute was filling with burgers and the fries where lining up. The line began to build up and after about 15 minutes the girl at the counter grabbed one of the burgers that had been sitting in the chute a number of minutes and my partner got her food. She noticed immediately the "large" chips she had was about half filled (a pet peeve of ours, considering I've worked in fast food, the rule always was that you fill the container to give the customer what they paid for, as advertised). She said something to the girl at the counter, as we have done at McDonald's a number of times and been politely offered a full replacement. This time was different. From my distant view I could see the staff member was annoyed at a customer asking this and I watched as she rolled her eyes and begrudgingly grabbed another properly filled large fries. Her argument for the half filled fries was "that's how they fill them"... Meanwhile I was still waiting. Burgers are in the chute, fries sitting waiting and another staff member is wiping down the non-fizzy drink machines that weren't that dirty. Except for the sea of flat drink people had tipped out... something she didn't clean. The line had grown and gone down a number of times during my wait so when I hit 20 minutes I walked to the other side of the counter that was more clear and was going to ask what was going on. As soon as I moved, eye-roll girl saw me and turned around and grabbed a burger and fries that had probably been sitting at least 5-10 minutes of my wait time from the chute and came out and called my number. I was just happy to leave and walked straight out. The food wasn't even worth it and literally tasted exactly like Hungry Jacks, only I had to wait 20 minutes, pay more, and get flat coke. Never again! I'm glad this is the only one in the Newcastle region and wouldn't be surprised if it closes should my experience be repeated to others. In the process of moving house and wanting something easy (but different) to the take away chains already exhausted eg Maccas, KFC etc. Firstly; the toilets. Men's and women's closed for cleaning with signs directing to use the disabled. I went in to find a toilet bowl filthy with brown water and stains. Not a good start. With the drive through quiet and my partner and I the only ones at the counter we ordered quickly but that is where the fast pace ended. At least a 15min wait for my food and even longer for my partners. Despite both the chip and burger chutes filling up it seemed no one thought it important to distribute to customers. Eventually I was given my 'made to order' meal from the food that had been sitting for several minutes. I returned my 2/3 filled large chips (a pet peeve that I now pursue on principle) only to be told that '"this is how they fill them". After pointing to the other properly filled chips the staff member begrudgingly replaced them. I don't follow the 'customer is always right' mentality but I expect to get what I paid for. I noticed a sign for staff showing them what an incorrect and correctly filled sauce container looks like. Perhaps they need to adopt that with the chips too! My partner emptied and refilled his drink twice after trying different flat coke taps; stopping defeated by the third. I suppose we could have mentioned it to staff but they appeared flat out not serving customers and wiping over the drink machine whilst we waited. Why they had only one person taking and packing orders with an extra person floating about cleaning beats me. I could overlook these things spaced out over a course of many visits but to get them all in one go leaves me no choice but to red flag them in my mind as a no go zone. I can go to Hungry Jacks for the same flavour and better service. read more

Burger buns, too sweet. Wait for food, too long. Taste of food, below mediocre. Atmosphere, depressing. Customer service, barely existent. Cost, too much for the quality of food served. But on the upside... free drink refills. read more

Was excited to try a new fast food restaurant, big mistake though! The food was awful, chips soggy and covered in salt. The burger bun was 2 times bigger then the meat, and it tasted gross anyway. The bacon was full of fat and it didn't taste like bacon. Ordered chicken nuggets/ tenders, and BORDERLINE cooked, still see a hint of pink and they were squishy. The wait time was ridiculous, over 10 minutes and maybe 1 or 2 cars in front.I saw a few reviews before heading there and I think I should have listened when they said the burgers were definitely better at hungry jacks. Would NOT recommend eating here. read more
