Bailey Lee the Director of Events was exceptionally helpful as she was always happy to answer any questions I had. The staff including Brianna and Brittney were very punctual, patient and incredibly helpful with all the planning. The day of, someone was there with me to navigate the day and make sure everything ran smoothly. I really appreciated too, the flexibility and selections they had to choose from for table linens, decor etc. The venue provided me with a floor plan with table setting and other element placing, and were accepting of my edits / red lining of any changes I wanted to make. They were always sending me detailed documents of the venue plans. They had a lot of partnerships with people to help make the ease of finding other vendors. This was a big help as it was more convenient to work with others who were familiar with the location. The venue itself is exceptional. All my guests said it was one of the best weddings they had been to because the whole area is just naturally stunning. Very open concept and bright all over. There were tons of opportunity for photos in various locations across the venue. From natural scenery, to a porch swing, trees, bridge, gazebo etc. There were also butterflies everywhere, so they were obviously attracted to the foliage outside which made it even more magically. The only things I will say in contrast is I had a fright with some of my things being misplaced that I had requested such as easels, some of my rentals and the fireplace was supposed to be lit as requested. The items were eventually found and brought to me before it was too late. The fireplace was never lit but it was still beautiful regardless. And I reminded the staff to bring out the easels which they happily did so. I also mentioned multiple times that the lights in the reception were supposed to be purple and they assured me that it wasn't going to be blue even though the papers they sent me said, "blue." I told them to revise this and they said it would be purple, well the day of it was still blue which luckily still worked with my color anyways. I had also originally been told when I booked the venue that there was a projector to display photos and had originally planned to have a slideshow until I found out much later that there were renovations and the projector could no longer be used. I was a little upset by this as they did not plan to have a projector screen available to maintain this option and instead got rid of it all together. But that is a minor detail that didn't effect our experience too much. All that aside, great job to everyone, thank you for making my day special and beautiful. Myself as well as everyone who came will remember that day as being just as perfect as I wanted it to be. Thank you!

    This is a beautiful venue and the staff try to work with you, so appreciate that and I really wish…read moreI could give them more stars-- but there are some issues that prevent me from giving 5 stars and every bride needs to know these things before working with the venue. 1) They will do everything they can to make sure you do not get your damage deposit back. Make sure your planner and clean up team are aware to take videos and photos of their clean up and of the entire venue when they leave. They cannot rely on the staff person to "sign them out" or tell them "everything is okay". Clean up time is usually 1 hour and this is not enough time. I would even recommend bringing a dedicated clean up crew to start cleaning up things an hour before your event ends. But on the other hand, the deposit may be cheaper than the cost of getting the extra help. So just weigh your pros with your cons and decide accordingly. My cleaning crew ended up going over 1 hour to finish cleaning so the DO staff took photos of the venue at our contracted end time before the crew was finished and used those photos to claim they didn't clean. We're now having to send any photos we have to prove it was cleaned. So you need to make sure you have it documented when you finished cleaning and photos and videos as they will use this as a method to keep your deposit. 2) The venue gets very hot in the summer. The AC is not strong enough to handle it if you have a high guest count. It will feel as if the AC is broken. So choose a date outside of the months of June, July or August. Or invest in extra AC units. The venue will not accomodate for this issue nor will they alert customers about it. So I'm the one telling you -- if your event is in the summer with many guests, reschedule it. This has happened to other customers in the past, as well. 3) Have them show you video or test their rental items before the day. This would include things such as their fog machine, photo station, etc. Make sure the items perform to your liking. If they aren't you can rent from another company. 4) This venue is very picky. To me, I was fine with that, but after talking with many brides and planners, the restrictions required for use of this venue makes it extra work and extra headache to deal with. For some, it's not worth it. Also note they count your guest count not by how many are in the venue at one time but by how many people come and go total. I really love this venue. I think if I could do this over again, I still would have gone with them but would have made large adjustments had I known upfront these issues. If you love the look, there's no place locally like it that can fit a large guest count. For some, it may be better to just spend more in decor and use a hotel ballroom or event center instead.

    They decided to wait 3 days before the wedding ceremony to call and ask for a 2000 dollar…read more"donation" to ensure the venue could be fully staffed and if not couldn't guarantee my venue.... After 10k was already spent everything discussed and "no hidden fees". So since we didn't give an additional free 2000 dollars they couldn't keep our venue so and inconvenience to the guest we had come out of state. By far the biggest scam ever lies and last minute notice.
