My first appointment with Michelle Drains, ND was a few years ago when I was experiencing dramatic…read moreperimenopausal symptoms including hot flashes nearly constantly and night sweats to the point I'd have to change my nightshirt. After recommending a combination of a naturopathic remedy and specific herbal teas and lotions, those troubling symptoms came under control in a matter of DAYS. I've also benefitted from taking her recommendation for a plant-based supplement to combat spring allergies which offers immediate relief without any annoying side effects (benedryl makes me feel nervous). Most recently I tore a ligament in my pinkie finger and after talking to several people who had surgery (with ongoing complications) for the same injury, I decided I definitely would not go that route. I called Michelle, hopeful (but skeptical, to be honest) that she would have a solution that would work without surgery or pharmaceuticals. Of course, she did. I've had three cold laser treatments in her office and I have movement and feeling back in my finger. One more treatment should straighten it out, and it's cost practically nothing. Aside from these obvious reasons to be grateful for Michelle's expert help, she's also professional and personable and her love for her calling makes every visit a pleasure. Two of my daughters who live here also started seeing her and they've benefitted from her knowledge and advice. In case you can't tell, I can't recommend Michelle highly enough!

It's small and cozy inside and the place has old bones you can tell by the creaking wood floors. It feels like walking into an old timey little grocer, but this market is dedicated to natural produce and promoting good health. They have a lot of products from CBD, to vitamins, essential oils, and natural beauty products. They also have a lot of food items like organic snacks, juices, soups, and many more. What brings me back though is their little kitchen where they whip up smoothies, wraps, salads, and some delicious veggie burgers. They offer spicy black bean burgers, and most recently I tried a soy blend burger made with various nuts and other ingredients. These aren't the type of veggie burgers that try to mirror regular burgers, they have their own unique textures and tastes. Originally it was a bit out of my comfort zone as an avid meat lover but I love to try new things and I have to say they are quite delicious. As I start to learn more about ways to improve my health I wouldn't be surprised if I start to come in more regularly. I highly recommend coming in to browse. Even if it doesn't seem like your cup of tea, you're likely to be surprised by how many awesome things they have for sale! It also helps that the employees are super friendly and they usually play great tunes!

I have to find an alternative. Many people have told me about CBD. Still don't know too much about it but it's worth a try. Stopped by this location on a Monday on the way to visit my mother. Asked a lot of question but my head was still spinning. With all the infos. I opted to get some pre rolls since I can't roll even if my life need saving. The staff whose every knowledgeable mention I should only take 2/3 hits. And not smoke my whole pre roll. Sound good to me.. Look around the shop. They definitely have a varieties from Oil, spray, herbs in a jar which is the strong shit and those you have to roll your self. Also provide some gummies. Even chewy for your pets. I appreciated that. I have tried one. Take 2/3 hit as instructed. I feel very chilled. And not soo fatigue. But not sooo hype either. Like a happy medium. Where can I find it in Charlotte? I pinged them on their website chat this week and asked where it is for sale. They suggested Savory Spice and since I haven't been there (another review!), I made it this morning at opening time. Yes, they're open on Christmas Eve. Other than the honey, lots of spices organized by region. Grilling spices. Baking spices. Cocktail spices. Prices clearly marked and everything displayed for easy browsing. Pretty much everything you need to add flavor to whatever you're cooking. And yes, Cloister Honey! Savory Spice is on the north side of Atherton Mill, next to O-Ku.
