Then I got on Yelp to see what I could find and I ran across Sammy Barker's. I read some of the reviews and I threw caution to the wind and said let's do it. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The place is nicely decorated and it has plenty of seating. Our server Ava, gave us some great suggestions and gave us a run down of the restaurant. We ordered the Argo wing and the Burger Battle Winner. The wings had a sweet and spicy flavor that didn't taste like it came from a jar. The wings were perfectly cooked and had the right crispness. The burger, man this thing had so much going on, I don't know where to start. The patties were fresh and cooked to perfection, the Sammie sauce is amazing and the slaw takes it right over the top. Oh, the hand cut fries are also delicious. I love a place to take the time to make things from scratch and with detail. This meal was worth every penny. If you want a great burger and wings, you must come here!!!!

I love that the sandwich comes on a soft hamburger bun so you don't have to deal with a hard crusted roll like on a Po Boy. I add one serving of tartar sauce to the sandwich. I order fries, not because I want fries, but because I need a carrier for Jerry's dressing. Anne's grouper fingers were perfectly fried as were the onion rings. If you want a hoot ask Grok if it has the recipe for Jerry's dressing. It doesn't as the secret has been carefully preserved for all these years. But the response is so great. Grok knows stuff. I have not looked at a menu for a while now as we know what we want. But I noticed today that the printed menu is apparently new and appears to include a way upscaled game in its offerings. Everything was delicious. We also loved the nostalgic atmosphere and all the memorabilia and posters throughout the restaurant. Seeing West Side Story, The Wizard of Oz, Elvis Presley, and so many other classics made it such a fun place to look around while we ate. The guy who took my order was incredibly nice and I received my food in under 10 minutes. My fries were a very large portion and were generously topped with both the meat and the cheese, I could have used a little bit more of the sauce on top but I still enjoyed the heck out of it. They are a softer fry which I personally love but if you're looking for a lot of texture they might not be for you. 7.5 out of 10 Stars. I don't really eat shrimp or seafood so I was apprehensive about the kimchi ball but it ended up being a revelation and I will be returning to the truck just to get more of those. It was $3 for one, and about the size of a large hush puppy. Perfectly fried, perfectly seasoned, quite salty at first but in the way that you want something like that to be. I did get some really yummy moments of sesame that took it over the top for me. 9 out of 10 stars for this one. I honestly haven't stopped thinking about it and could have eaten maybe three of them.
