Was a client for years, nothing changed. Bill from the insurance cam as usual. Then, after a random review they decide to charge more for a policy that has already been fully paid and expired. After months of trying to clear it all up they enforce the bill. No claims, no changes, not even an existing policy.. just more money for absolutely nothing. Have to pay it or my business get dinged on the credit score. Just a scam.. stay away! read more

Extremely displeased with this company. They sent my entire credit card number in an email. They need to review current proper technology standards. It is unacceptable for a company to endanger customers financial records. When I shared my concerns she said I could have faxed or mailed my whole credit card number. Somehow they think that is much more safe. It is not secure to send the entire credit card number via email, fax, or mail and I have never known a company to do so. It is unacceptable that they are unaware of what can be hacked and what is not safe to put in emails. I do not trust this company with my information and have cancelled services. read more

STAY AWAY!! These company are liars. They damage your vehicle and claim they caused no damage, even thought it is on the BOL. The driver also will not allow you to put ALL the damage they caused before ripping the BOL out of your hands and not providing a copy. They dropped my vehicle when they picked it up and they obviously do not know how to load vehicles. Their insurance company, The David Agency (Priscilla in particular) back them up and are con artists as well!! The Sr. Dispatcher is their claims person, Evo and is so RUDE and HANGS up on you. Their is something called KARMA! They caused so much damage and they THINK they will get away with it, but they are not invisible. I would RUN and never give this company 1 cent because they are not worth anything! As you can see in the photos, they literally BURNED rubber to drive the car up the ramp causing the ramp to kick out and the car to drop causing damage. The driver Miklaus does not obviously know how to load a car and then drove the car up backwards onto the ramp. They dropped the car off when we were not even on-sight and left it over night in a construction area that left the car covered in filth. This care is kept ALWAYS in a heated garage. Again, Montway and David Agency Insurance company cause damage and claim "nothing happened and no damage was done to the vehicle" NEVER, NEVER use this company!! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service! No respect to the customers, discriminating attitude. I am deeply disappointed with the customer service provided by The David Agency agency, I feel very frustrated, neglected, unappreciated and even discriminated by their agent Cindy Mahoney. Let me start from the very beginning. Our moving company has been The David Agency's loyal customer since 2013 and we still currently have cargo insurance through their agency, workers' compensation coverage and we used to have general liability insurance till December 12, the date we found out our GL insurance was canceled! The reason insurance carrier canceled our policy was because the payments were not being made, however when I made the down payment for our GL policy on October 23, I filled out the EFT form and I asked Cindy's assistant Stephanie Barsotti to set up automatic payments directly from our business account. This is the way we have been paying for our cargo insurance since May this year. For some reason automatic payments were never set up, we were only charged the down payment from the card I entered in EFT form Stephanie emailed me. We moved to California in beginning of December this year (however we still continue our business operations in Chicago). Unfortunately for me I did not have too much time to sort out my mail due to this moving hassle and being a busy mom of 2 kids. I only noticed the intent of cancellation letter 2 months later after the coverage was binded. What remains unclear to me is that why our agent, Cindy Mahoney or any of her ever changing multiple assistants (Cindy stopped communicating with us recently completely and I was always dealing either with Brandy Seale or Stephanie Barsotti or somebody else) ever cared to pick up a phone or shoot us a quick email, find a minute in their busy everyday schedule to call me or my husband and let us know "Hey guys, why aren't you making payments for your insurance? Please make sure you send them a check, otherwise your insurance will be canceled". Right? Is it that difficult? Cindy claimed we received an outstanding customer service for the last 2.5 years. This is not what great customer service is about. I used to work in an insurance agency myself for a couple of years and I know it is a regular practice for any insurance agent to call their customer if they receive this kind of cancellation notice and make them AWARE. By the way we never missed any of our insurance payments since 2013 when we started working with their agency. And it is in our best interest to keep our insurance current because our license status depends on it. Right now our moving license is suspended and we do not even have right to operate as a household goods mover! This all happened because of the lack of customer service on your part and a terrible mistake and negligence of one of your assistants . This license cost us a lot of money and 1.5 years of legal action with courts and attorneys which was ruined by a lack of communication and customer service on the David Agency's part. Not only we never received any kind of apology from anyone in the agency. I was blamed by Cindy Mahoney it was totally my fault that the insurance was canceled. She mentioned that this is what happens to their customers who do not make payments for their insurance. Despite the fact that we made 20% down payment for the insurance, we received the letter from their finance company which stated that we owed them the full annual premium for our insurance even though insurance was canceled! Awesome! I addressed my question to Cindy in regards to our down payment and if the down payment could be applied towards two months installments we missed paying. She ignored my email. When I called their office, she said she could not understand why I kept calling them and complaining. She advised me to call insurance company directly and address my questions to them directly. What a great response from an agent claiming they provide a great customer service. She also said she had thousand of other customers and absolutely had no time to talk to me. When I asked why I am less important than the rest of 1000 clients, she told me that she had clients who pay $50,000 for their insurance and this way she let me understand that the more customer pays the more important they are. How nice! What a wonderful attitude! I am sure this kind of attitude is not going to take this agency too far in terms of business success. Please stay away and find an agent who really cares about their customers and will appreciate your business. This agency cares about nothing but your money!!! read more

We had a very poor experience with communication and responsiveness with The David Agency. There were several occasions where we emailed asking a question about our coverage or seeking to make a small change in our coverage where we never hit a response or the response came weeks later. When we finally had enough and got new insurance elsewhere and went to cancel our coverage through them, again our cancellation notices went unanswered. We had to hound them and got excuses why it was taking so long - and it took two months to finally get refund checks for the three policies we had with them. I am no longer a client of the David Agency as they have inconvenienced me for the last time. Here are two gigantic bullet points on why I would recommend never turning over insurance responsibilities to this company: (1) Disclaimer: I feel bad about this item only because my agent that made this error is no longer with us. He passed away soon after this occurred and quite frankly, for that reason, I chose *NOT* to leave the agency as a result of this item and to give them the benefit of the doubt and continue my auto and home insurance plans with them. I was going through a divorce and had to split up my auto insurance policy with my ex as a result. I also sold our house in the process and re-located to a newly purchased home. I informed the agent that I did not want my ex to know of where I was moving to so could he send my ex's half of the pro-rated credit to her address and my half to myself. He said that he understood the dilemma and would certainly do so. Well, fast-forwarding a month or so, I receive a hand-written letter from my ex at my new home - congratulating me on it and my new life, etc.! I called up the agent and reminded him how I had *specifically* asked him to not let my ex know about the new home and he apologized profusely for not only telling her about the purchase of the home but also telling her the town it was purchased in! As I explained earlier, I forgave him for this and, in turn, continued to stay with the agency after his unfortunate demise. (2) After experiencing an incident at my home involving lightning/electrical damage and having an unsatisfactory experience with the home owner's insurance company over the matter, I decided to start looking for other insurance plans. I had re-married in the meantime and needed to consolidate plans anyhow. I ended up finding a great deal and informed the David Agency that our time together had drawn to a close. I let them know that I needed to cancel my auto and home insurance plans with them and where to send my prorated credits. That was in August of 2012. They said that they needed some information from my new insurance broker and an "OK" from me. I presented them with both within a day's time. In the meantime, not only did I not receive the prorated credit for my home owner's insurance until the final days of *December* 2012 (after Christmas!?) - but the insurance company managed to keep taking $100+ from my bank account *monthly* for 3 additional months while my David Agency representative was "facilitating" my request to cancel the plan and get me my owed credit. The entire situation was downright embarrassing! I will go out of my way to tell others to stray *far* from the likes of this insurance agency! read more

I have been with the Agency for over 10 years, and once again was completely satisfied with the service the Angela Krause provided. My previous company was raising rates, deleting coverage, and causing me a great deal of stress. Angela smoothed out the wrinkles, and delivered full coverage for home, auto and umbrella with a savings of over $400. We have been with the David Agency for over 8 years. We have always been very satisfied with the service that we have received but for the last 2 years or so we have worked directly with Angela Krause. She is unbelievable. She has always been on top of our policies; Primary house, rental house and car insurance. She really helped out last year when we had a broken pipe in our primary home while my husband and I were out of the country. She handled everything. She was on top of everything. When I returned, another pipe burst in our rental property. I was at my limit but Angela took over and handled everything again. I could not have handled all the stress without her. We have recommended Angela specifically to friends and they were blown away at the service she provided. She is always available to answer any questions I might have and if she isn't sure right then, she always gets back to me in a very timely fashion. I can't recommend Angela enough. read more

They were very unprofessional and did not represent me effectively when someone driving a Prius smashed into my Honda Ruckus causing $1700 in damages. I had to drop them and switch back to Allstate. Who I might add is very professional. read more
