Most had prices that rivaled a house down payment. Being a member of Yelp Elite, I was immediately impressed by Emily's Five Star Yelp reviews. Every single one was (is) rated five stars. That speaks volumes because we Yelpers don't hand out five stars like Tic-Tacs. I reached out to Emily and we had an initial call to discuss my event, vision, location and most importantly, my expectations. Emily asked me questions I hadn't considered as a consumer. She brought ideas and explained her process. I immediately felt comfortable and knew she'd deliver with Excellence, Enthusiasm Effortlessly, all while surpassing our Expectations. When we received our photos, my husband said "those are the best photos I've ever seen". Thank you Emily!

You can tell that she is professional and knows what she is doing because I came to her having no idea what photos I wanted or a timeline for the day of. She helped so much in that area and was able to direct us day of and made a timeline that worked perfectly for us. The photos we received back are AMAZING, she could not have done a better job. Even though our wedding was during a busier season we still got the photos back pretty quickly I would say. She really helped make our wedding day perfect and I am so grateful for that.

If you need a photographer in St. Louis, look no further…read more I've hired Jenn for both my professional headshots and a family session in the park and she was fantastic for both! I HATE having my photo taken, but she actually made the process fun and worked with me to produce really flattering headshots. I've gotten multiple compliments from friends and colleagues on my new headshots, and I would recommend her to any professional without hesitation. For our family photos, I was blown away by how patient she was with my 3 year old son, who was not in the mood to have photos taken the day of our shoot. She cheered him up in impressively short order, and ultimately she took gorgeous photos that captured our family's personality perfectly. And when I thought it couldn't get any better, she turned around the proofs and edits for both sessions very quickly! She was professional and communicative throughout, and I can't overstate just how much I've enjoyed working with her.

She was extremely professional, accommodating, and listened to everything we needed/wanted while even suggesting ideas we didn't think of! She was easy-going and by far a pleasure to work with. She provided amazing equipment that was simple to setup, and the end products were amazing. Her personality even helped drive people to our booth! Jenn is extremely passionate about her work and it definitely shows in her work ethic. We loved working with Jenn and would gladly work with her again!

I've quoted some highlights from my experience here, but you can go to the bottom, to read my entire story... "...I reflected on everything I've already accomplished. I have come so far and that deserves to be celebrated!" "Terra made the entire process wonderful." "...if you've never done this before,... The thought of stripping down to your birthday suit, or close to it, in front of a total stranger is scary!" "Terra was constantly reassuring, keeping the mood light, and full of positivity. She made it easy for me to relax..." "It was a very empowering experience. At the end of the day, I honestly felt so beautiful, powerful, and confident! And I truly believe that it was Terra's process, positive energy, and personality that made me feel this way." "That was the most amazing experience of my lifetime!... She started with my favorite outfit... By the end, it was just me and your guitar. Felt amazing!" My story: I have overcome some really, really tough circumstances in the last few years. And last summer, for the first time in over 10 years, I began focussing on me. I put myself first and set out to become a healthier version of my former self. One of my goals was to lose 100 lbs. That's a lofty goal, but after 6 months of hard work and discipline, I'd lost 50 lbs. I was halfway to my goal and then my weight loss stalled out. I'd always told myself, "when I get to my goal weight, I'll reward myself with a boudoir session." But having stalled, and even backpedaled a bit on my weight loss journey, I reflected on everything I've already accomplished. I have come so far and that deserves to be celebrated! So I began my search for a photographer. Earthkind was about the third photographer that popped up on my search. The name "Earthkind" immediately caught my attention because I am a very natural person. I rarely wear make-up, try to eat whole foods, use natural cleaning products, and have a little homestead with where I grow my own vegetables and go out each morning to collect eggs from my chickens. When I began looking through Terra's portfolio, I knew she was "the one." Terra made the entire process wonderful. From the very first conversation, I could tell she was "my people." When I arrived for the shoot, she greeted me with a smile and helped me carry my things in. I've got to be honest, the whole thing was so awkward at first, if you've never done this before, it's just going to be. The thought of stripping down to your birthday suit, or close to it, in front of a total stranger is scary! Her hairdresser and make-up artist (who were both great too!) got straight to work fussing over me and I was offered something to drink. They began chatting with me and that helped me become more comfortable as I realized they were simply normal people just like me. They kept my look natural because I'd mentioned my desire to "still look like me." Once I was all done up, Terra went through a couple of really unexpected, but very powerful and calming, exercises. Next, we headed to the dressing room to discuss my goals for the shoot and look through the items I brought, including my boyfriend's guitar. She said she'd never used a guitar as a prop, but I loved that she was excited to see how we could work it in! When we began the actual photoshoot, it was really awkward. I'm just a very shy and modest person and this was totally out of my normal comfort zone. Terra was constantly reassuring, keeping the mood light, and full of positivity. She made it easy for me to relax and begin to feel more and more comfortable in my own skin. It was a very empowering experience. At the end of the day, I honestly felt so beautiful, powerful, and confident! And I truly believe that it was Terra's process, positive energy, and personality that made me feel this way. To sum it all up, this was the text I sent to my boyfriend as I walked back out to my car: "That was the most amazing experience of my lifetime! She was so awesome. I cannot wait to see these photos!!! She started with my favorite outfit that I was most comfortable in and slowly worked to fewer and fewer clothes. By the end, it was just me and your guitar. Felt amazing!"

Terra helped me heal and realize that I am more than my insecurities and my doubts. Terra is the embodiment of self love and I can not recommend Earthkind Boudoir enough. When I first talked to him, he told me he was familiar with how my culture does our events and when I asked if he wanted me to give him a run down and go through things, he said no. But during the event he told my sister-in-law that he had no idea what was going on. We had to ask him numerous times during the event to come take pictures of what was going on. Because he came late, I didn't get to take pictures with just my fiancée and I, and he gave no direction. He seemed clueless. When I received the pictures I was shocked on how bad they were. They were so dark (he didn't bring any lighting with him) and when he sent the edited pictures they were so laughable, almost cartoonish. I honestly could've done a better job myself. They were not professional at all. We had to pay him upfront too. Sad that I don't have good pictures of that day. I do not recommend. EDIT IN RESPONSE: In no way did I "beg" for a lower price. I found him on thumbtack and saw his price was $250 and thought it was a good price. I never asked him to go lower. When I called him on the phone, the first time, he said he was coming back from another event. He was supposed to get there 5:00 but came closer to 5:30 and went to the bathroom when he arrived. My family was ready to take pictures. In the pictures I received there were only backs of most of the guests. When I asked my family they said he never went up to them to ask for pictures. Many went up to HIM to tell him to take pictures . The pictures were dark and far away. There was no flash. I had to ask for the raw pictures and I edited them much better than he did. His versions looked outlandish with the colors looking much different than in real life. The contract stated I would receive my pictures within a week but I had to continuously ask for my pictures, receiving petty excuses.
