Our quote was 'good' for a year (and with inflation, this was quite a benefit). We hired them and a Raleigh-based crew arrived by 8:30 each morning. Three men headed by their crew chief, Pastore, went right to work each day, sometimes staying as late as 7pm! They stripped wallpaper in two bathrooms, skim coated the walls, repaired every crack, nail pop or nail hole, applied two to three coats of paint (we chose some deep colors), and completed our entire home in a week! We feel like we are in a brand new home! This crew was awesome. If you choose Five Star, you won't regret your decision!!

Don't be fooled this is a franchise company and they're very good at what they do and what they do…read moreis over price people the salesman will come out an estimate the job acting like they have everything all together and going to give them and excellent job with a have nothing to do at all with the job all they do is trying to look professional with the salesman sell you with their pitches and then they take 55% right off the top of the contract price and then hire a subcontractor to do the job and pay for the materials with 45% of the contract price so all you are getting is low quality sub-contractors then have to make 45% stretch out to do the job that's including for them to buy the materials pay for labor gas and everything that they need to do the job because either way CertaPro gets 55% right off the top every time and has nothing to do with the work at all all they do is sell you the job and take 55% or more if you finance it in other words they get 55% of the contract price just for convincing you to sign the contract the rest is all left under the subcontractors hands and like I said the 45% is all that the subcontractors have to work with that's including everything to complete the job they sold you that 45% has to cover materials Insurance gas payroll everything everything everything so they get 55% just from selling you the job you will never see them again...they even leave it up to the sub contractors to collect the check and turn it into the office and then they have to wait for their money like I said they go after some contractors that are financially hurting they let them use their charge account to get the materials but of course the materials they get gets taken out of the 45% so you're paying somebody 55% of the contract price for doing nothing not even supervising the job I know this much because I have done work for them in the past I was there best contractor in the whole area so they try to overload me with especially all the hard jobs and all the hard people to make happy they gave me all the work 4 and 5 jobs at a time because they knew if I did them they wouldn't have to worry because I would turn out a fantastic job and make them look good. There's so much more I can say but I had to stop working for them because every job I did I I pretty much worked for free so finally I cut ties with them because I could not make any money at all while they were pocketing 55% of the contract price for doing nothing and if something went wrong it always came out of my pocket as far as things needing extra coats and everything else or extra paint or just any possible problem they knew that I would fix the situation and make the customer happy meanwhile it was all coming out of my pocket they still no matter what got the 55% Plus the 55% of any add-ons which they call a change order. Anybody that uses this company is a complete fool I would read this and take it very seriously I am somebody that knows firsthand on how their company runs inside and out.
