It took me ages to find a barber who lives up to my high expectations -- Ersöz is the place…read more The barbers here don't only know how to make the modern gentleman look fresh and clean, the place itself is spotless as well. One further big plus is the very reasonable pricing for a haircut and a professional - I repeat PROFESSIONAL - shave. Forget about all the other self-declared "real" barbers, the gentlemen at Ersöz know their craft.

I read about 10er reviews and I thought I give a shot. Mostly positive. As I went there in the…read moremorning at 9am as a walk-in customer but there was a appointment at 11am. Nico was my hairdresser and she knows what I wanted without telling her much. Had my hair washed, cut and had hair mousse at the end. I blowed my own hair which I preferred. She asked for only €20! And I was terribly satisfied. Thanks Nicolas very much and I wish u were in San Diego, California. I will come again when I am in Hamburg.

You've gotta love a hair-dresser/bar/concert-venue/music-shop! I've been to some weird bars in…read moreHamburg (a half-pub, half-sweet shop springs to mind, as does the Turkish Irish pub shisha cafe), but I think Kamm In wins out for pure randomness. The family that run it are friendly, the beer is good, and they have live rock music in the basement every Wednesday - what's not to like? There's only two slightly negative things that I can say: - it's very smokey downstairs - the crowd (at least when I was there) is mostly aged 40+ Still, I'd say that this is a must see on the Hamburg live-music scene!

Well, seems that this hairdresser is really into guitars!!!! That would be your first thought at…read morethe entry. Basically it is like Hair saloon that turns into a bar in the evening. Stage is downstairs, so don't be surprised if you hear music, but don't find any sign of the band at the entry. Got our drinks in a bar (quite cheap, it was about 5EUR for a wine and a beer) and headed ourselves downstairs. There was some Jimi Hendrix cover band on the stage and full room of relaxed seniors.I definitely was the youngest person in there:) Not that it would make me feel bad. Wouldn't spend there the entire evening though, but it is a great place for one drink. Well, at least for the reason that you wont see bands that often in Hair saloon:D Thinking about having a haircut there. Seems from a german review, that you can have a music related chat while having a hair cut, which is kinda cool. Note to self: Every Wednesday live bands. Every first Friday of the month open stage for everyone.

The reason why I am giving Inez only two stars is 1) my hair was cut a lot shorter than I wanted 2) my layers look a bit bulky/chunky and also uneven and 3) they tried to sell me coloring for my roots, twice. The wait is short though, but the hair cut is crappy, so this is money that should not be saved.... so now i need to wait for the hair to grow, so I can get another cut to get rid of the awful layers... but then I'll have even shorter hair than I wanted. Oh and I got mt hair cut by Wolfgang, who, after having read some reviews on the net, seems to generally not have the best skills and tends to cut way shorter than asked for, while also constantly walking away to do something else when you're sitting in the chair, waiting (happened about 5 times to me)...and from what i've read he runs this Inez branch.

They have a fairly big fleet so they work with about 10 people at a time. The waiting time is about 5 to 20 mins but of course if you prefer you might as well get an appointment. They work really clean and good. I have noticed that sometimes when their boss is not around they tend to play the music a bit louder :) but it is ok. Only young people work there.

I was super pleased to discover there is a fourth option: the Hagel Hair Company, on the upper floor near the food court. The prices are nearly double the other three places, but with that higher price comes a much higher degree of professionalism and quality. I've got long hair and permanent color cost me EUR56 in comparison to EUR37 which I would have paid at Klinck. Hagel has both a color range from Schwarzkopf as well as Welle. The availability of Schwarzkopf colors was very important to me. Unexpected is that you can buy the Schwarzkopf hair dyes individually here if you want to try this at home by yourself. I must confess, I ended up here by luck last night. It was 16:00. Klinck was full with four customers waiting already and no possibility to put my name down on a wait list and no way to make an appointment. I was on my way to Unisex and saw Hagel by accident. I walked in and a young, handsome black man noticed me and was friendly enough to answer a few questions even though he was busy with a customer. He called the boss, a middle aged blonde with short hair, who came out from the back to help me. Hagel works by appointment only and even though they were completely booked last night, the manager intuitively felt that I wanted an appointment now and not later. She talked to her hairdressers and found a way to accommodate me. I was I impressed with her flexibility. Dyeing hair takes time and this allowed me to observe. If I were a young man, I'd definitely let the black guy cut my hair. I watched him cut two boys' hair in a row. Both, extremely stylish and in line with the current trends. A customer with long blonde hair finished her blowout and complimented her hairstylist with how well her highlights turned out. My husband showed up. At first the manager / boss disappointed him with it being too full and 10 minutes later surprised him with her flexibility and did make room to cut his hair. His hairdresser, a medium height woman in her 20s with medium length curly brown red hair, is a bit more conservative in her style. We asked her to make one small change to my husbands haircut and she did this without complaint or attitude. And my hair? I got what I asked for. What I love the most is that the owner/manager/boss is willing to give you advice if you want it, but she doesn't push it on you. Finally! A competent hairdresser in Hamburg. I made a 2nd appointment. If you've read my other review from a few years ago when I got really pissed off at a certain hairdresser, you'll know after being bitten once I'm twice as shy. Maybe after a 3rd appointment, I'll let her cut my hair.
