We were looking for a Christian Montessori program and this is, in our opinion _the best_ option in northern Virginia. They not only provide a wonderful Montessori style education, they provide solid Biblical teaching for these young minds. We have been consistently impressed by their care, compassion, professionalism and exceptional teaching. Some examples of the positives, though the list could go on and on: - the fabulous caring and attentive teachers. They care about your children like their own and they pray for your children and your family. Ms. Jacqueline, Ms. Sharon, Ms. Yoon, Ms. Brielle, Ms. Sophia to name a few. - excellent leadership and administration, Ms. Grace is extremely organized, communicative and detail-oriented. This school tries hard to stay open even when Fairfax/Loudoun counties are closed for their countless holidays which is great for working parents. They provide optional extracurricular activities during the school day for pre-K such as soccer, French class and piano lessons. - the teaching! We were so impressed when our daughter started talking about what red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets do in the human body. wow! - Biblical teaching; the kids memorize Bible verses, are taught Bible stories and worship songs. Our 3 year old memorized the Lord's Prayer! - we have made such wonderful friends with the other students and families attending Monarch - all the extra touches - they put on a wonderful Christmas show every year, make special crafts for the holidays that I know we will treasure forever and host things like Mother's Day breakfast. Our daughter has to graduate otherwise I wish we could keep her here forever! This school is such a blessing to us and to the community! We thank God for Ms. Grace and Monarch.

I can't believe it's been 9 years already with our 3 kids. In 2012, when my daughters were 2 & 3 years old, we've interviewed several pre-schools in the area and this school is the best! Their Christian Montessori education is excellent and provided our kids a firm foundation of learning, growth and character. Even through the COVID-19 pandemic, Monarch maintained the highest level of precaution, safety measures, and made us feel safe during that time with our youngest. I will miss the songs, Christmas programs, Thanksgiving luncheons, the arts/crafts from my kids, parent-teacher conferences, and our kids' stories of what they experienced during school. I was always surprised by what they were able to accomplish at such a young age. My fondest memories will be our kids' birthday parties at the school with the puppet shows, oversized balloons, cupcakes, storytelling, and the walk around the globe song. Monarch is an extension of our family and we will miss them very much! My youngest kid just graduated from Kindergarten last June 5th at Monarch. My daughters who are now 11 & 12 years old are doing very well in school - thanks to the Monarch's education and influence.

Since he loved attending his old Montessori school up to kindergarten, we wanted to find a Montessori school that offers an elementary program. Among the three options that we had in the area, we ended up choosing MSoFx, which turned out to be a wise choice. Above all else, my son simply loves his school and friends. The school offers the specials, including conversational Spanish, PE, and music lessons twice a week. My son started playing violin last fall from his music class, and I cannot believe how advanced he is in just one year. We also love the fact that they have a full-time chef who prepares lunch daily for children. The best part of his first year at MSoFx was the end-of-the year concert and play! It was also unique that they offered NNAT and CogAT assessments administered by George Mason University. All his teachers and staff have been amazingly kind and understanding throughout the year. Although we had looked for a temporary school to attend through the pandemic, we did not hesitate to enroll our son again this year. We are grateful that my son is thriving and happy in this school and much look forward to another great year.

Unlike many Montessoris in the area, their hours are great with before-care and extended after-care for working parents. It is a very clean school & they cook the food onsite. They have some fruit & veggie options for kids. As is the case with every school, some teachers are better than others. But they do adhere to The Montessori standards & encourage that style of learning which promotes independence & individual growth. The director Ms. Amiri is patient & kind. She is beloved by many students & willing to troubleshoot problems as they come up. They offer some extracurricular activities at an additional cost. The best part about this school is that they're not pushy, if it's not the right fit for your child, they will work with you to switch out.

Her three older brothers had attended the same preschool in another state, so we found ourselves starting from scratch in a new community. We were encouraged to contact Sully Montessori School as an educational option. From the moment Mrs. Ameena opened her door, we knew Harper would thrive. The warm, nurturing environment is complimented by a hands-on learning curriculum. In just a short time, we have seen a dramatic difference in our daughter's independence, confidence and inquisitiveness. Her development is documented regularly through video clips sent via email by Mrs. Ameena. This allows us to track her progress and the fun she is having throughout the school day. Perhaps most importantly, She has developed meaningful relationships and camaraderie with her classmates. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for our daughter through her Montessori education and are quite thankful for having found such a nurturing learning environment for her.

When we needed help with the Financial Aid process, we had assistance the whole way. Couldn't have been more grateful. Our children have flourished under this Accredited Montessori School with Trained Guides. We could not feel more comfortable that no question seems silly or bothersome by the Guides or Administration. As I said, we truly feel welcome and a member of the Guidepost Family. Also, the way they have handled the COVID-19 pandemic has been incredible. Feeling our children are in safe hands at times like these is paramount and we do at Guidepost. Cannot recommend highly enough! We are so blessed to be here.

My grandson was tested at Guidepost and entered first grade for the 2024 through 2025 school year. The mixed level classroom had about twenty-two students, ranging between 1st and 5th grade. In the beginning of the school year there were two teachers, one of which clearly was not acclimated to talking to younger students. Her fast cadence of speaking was incoherent, and level of explanation was not focused at a first grade level. It took six months of meeting with the Guidepost corporate administrator for action to be taken regarding the teacher. The remaining teacher was very in tune with her students and tried her best to teach to the various level of the group. Unfortunately, there were several students in the class with major behavioral problems. Two of the students displayed physical bullying to the other students. My grandson was hit in the head with a stick, breaking the skin. This was inside of the classroom. One student yelled for a significant part of the day, which caused so much disruption my grandson could not focus on the educational tasks. Much of the teacher's day was spent trying to maintain order in the classroom. This was again discussed with the Guidepost Chantilly corporate administrator. The administrator always had an excuse for the incidents and behaviors, with no concrete corrective action taken. When I came at 5:30 to pick up my grandson, I could see a great deal of disarray in his classroom. Papers were out of place and on the floor. Books, educational materials and student belongings were very out of order along with several other things. The classroom was clearly not clean, with visible garbage around the floor. How could this be a functional classroom? One of the bullies in the class was a student of a Guidepost Chantilly teacher. After two months of the aggressive and bullying behavior toward my grandson, I addressed the parent myself. I did this in a very non-aggressive way. The parent put her hand in my face and stated, "I don't want to talk about it" and walked away. The Guidepost administrator admonished me for going directly to the parent. Other parents expressed that this is a trend with this school, allowing their teachers to bring their children and not addressing their students' aggressive and disruptive behaviors. Everyone should be allowed to raise their children how they see fit, but when it impacts other children's safety and ability to learn the problems must be addressed. During the time at Guidepost, we had two parent teacher conferences. At the second conference my grandson was evaluated to be one step past the first conference. We were told he was falling behind and could have a learning disability. The conclusion was that my grandson had learned very little in eight months. We were paying a private school tuition, but he was not getting the education for which we were paying. After the evaluation in late April 2025, we removed my grandson from Guidepost Chantilly and placed him in public school. He was tested when he entered public school at the mid-kindergarten level. In public school, he came home smiling every day. He said no one was yelling all day and he was able to work on his schoolwork. He was not worried about anyone hitting him. This structured environment allowed him to excel for the remainder of the year. He was voted most helpful of his peers and most improved student at the year ceremony. These two awards were from a total of four kindergarten classes, or eighty-five students. He is now in first grade, and we just had the first parent teacher conference. He is excelling in math doing second grade work and is at level for reading and comprehension. We did a tremendous amount of work with him over the summer to bring him to grade level. It is my opinion that if he had a proper education at Guidepost Chantilly, he would not have been behind in his education and not labeled as learning disabled. In my opinion, Guidepost Chantilly wasted eight months of his educational life which is unacceptable. It is my opinion that Guidepost Chantilly is a disgrace and should not have the ability to be called an educational school. Perhaps this is why the corporate parent of Guidepost declared bankruptcy in the summer of 2025. Lack of student enrollment and poor educational ability. Of course, this is only my opinion, I did not waste my time to do the bankruptcy research because I had actual firsthand knowledge.
