The venue is in a great location, overlooking the Melbourne City skyline, but we were slightly underwhelmed by the renovations. This venue has been a restaurant for many years and has recently been taken over and reopened as the Cork and Tucker. The decor is very plain, some may say simple and understand, but we thought it was a little boring.
We visited for dinner on Saturday night (my check in didn't work). We thought it was just ok.
The menu is very limited and my vegan daughter could only order wedges. They couldn't even offer a simple tomato sauce over the pasta on the menu.
I had gnocchi with a cream basil sauce, that was nice, and our friends had Lamb Pie and Wrapped Chicken Breast. All meals were nice enough, but fairly pricey, around the $30 mark for mains. We needed to order sides as the meals were small.
Sorry, too busy talking to take pics.
I will go back another time to see if there are any improvements. read more
