NORDSTROM RACK From…read morethe scattered reviews I read, I decided to stop at Nordstrom Rack. I was only three miles from their Brandon store and in need of a few men's shirts and dress pants. I was aware that Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of the luxury department store chain, Nordstrom. I went there not expecting Walmart or other merchants prices. I found the men's shirts and pants racks and found several items that were the color and size I was looking for. A shirt that listed at $198.98 was on sale reduced 68% to a mere $74.96. It was a regular long sleeve shirt by Polo, Ralph Lauren. With all due respect to India where the shirt was made, I wondered what costly threads were used to make such a pricey shirt. The same was true of the pants and several other items. Mind you that these items in the off price store were on yet another discounted clearance rack in the store. Nordstrom may want to rethink their sales techniques at their chain of stores before people start realizing it's not a really an off price store.

I stopped in specifically due to an Instagram ad that had an outfit I fell in love with. Nina was an absolute delight! She helped me identify the pieces in the advertisement, found my sizes, and assisted me with my "try on" even bringing me heels to make sure that my pants were the proper length, and offering to call another store location if needed. If I hadn't been rushed to find two specific outfits, I could have spent an afternoon adding beautiful classic pieces to my wardrobe. I got home and my husband was absolutely thrilled with my purchases and encouraged me to go back again soon to pick up some additional items. I will definitely be back soon and will 100% request that Nina be the one to assist me.

Typically I wear a size 8 or 10, and sometimes pick petite over regular since I'm only 5'5". During my most recent visit I found just one pair of size 8 petite dress pants at this location, and no size 10 petites in dress pant styles, only jeans. As for regular length, I found a few more styles with the size range, but typically only one was available in the style/color, so if there was a flaw or someone else was trying it on, the low stock would've meant I was out of luck. Ultimately I did leave the store empty-handed, but I placed an online order where I found more options thankfully.

I've ordered clothes from their catalog for many years and was very happy to find a storefront when moving here to the Tampa Bay area. I've been shopping there ever since. They also have a store at Wiregrass, but I like the one at International Plaza the best because they have more of a variety of petite sized clothing. If you're short like me, then this the better store. Anyway, the clothes are very good quality and have lasted me many years of wear. They never go out of style. They are classic and simple. They can be expensive but they do have an outlet sale online. They also have great in-store sales. Today it was 40% off the marked down items. I found 2 knit tops for a total of $45. You also get an extra 5% off every purchase each time you use your J.Jill card. So, it was actually 45% off for me. The Wearever and Pure Jill collections are my favorite. They are perfect for travel, and are very comfortable. It's great for the conservative dresser. The staff is very helpful. If they don't have your size they will find one for you at another store (just like most stores). It's not a place where I would shop at routinely but I'm always happy with my purchases. Will continue to shop there and online for many years more.
