Best yarn shop in Dublin. The owner is wonderfully friendly and helpful. There's such a great selection of yarn for such a small shop and it all seams to be decently priced. There's a great space upstairs where they do craft workshops and classes, unfortunately I haven't been to one yet. The window display is always inspirational and a joy to behold. Can't recommend it enough, just drop in and you won't be disappointed. read more

A lovely little shop with everything you could need! Rosemary the owner is so helpful and kind, will offer you tips and advice to help you finish your project. Lots of yarn to choose from, a full spectrum of some luxury to inexpensive wool, so you're sure to find the perfect skein. She also carries yarn from Irish dyers, which is always nice to see. You can also find notions and accessories here, as well. Everything is very well organized and easy to find. One of the best parts about this shop is the upstairs area, a gorgeous, open studio with tables and comfortable seating. Lots of classes take place up here, but you're welcome to settle in for some knitting any time. Workshops and meetups are organized throughout the year, including machine knitting, crochet, embroidery, sewing and more. The Dublin Guild of weavers, spinners and dyers meets here the third Sunday of every month, a great group where you can stop by for some tea and a good chat. There's always someone willing to show you how to spin wool on a wheel or with a drop spindle, if you're curious about it. There is also equipment available to rent for members, including spinning wheels, weaving looms, wool carders and various other supplies needed for weaving, spinning and dyeing. This is one of the best knit shops in central Dublin. It is a tiny store but jammed packed full of yarn and notions. The owner is quite helpful. They also offer classes. It is one street west of St. Patrick's Cathedral. read more

I visited this shop on holiday in September and purchased some lovely yarn for a carriage blanket for my grand son .since then grandson #2 was born and I emailed Rosemary and ordered more yarn . Of course they needed sweaters .... Once again Rosemary to the rescue . What a wonderful shop and a wonderful person to work with. For a real needle-worker it won't get better than this. Let's start with Rosemary, the proprietor. When we contacted her from the States she was warm, receptive and eager to make our acquaintances. Even thought it was the week between Christmas and New Year she graciously made arrangements for a local group of knitters and crocheters to meet us for tea and a knit. We perused the wonderful store downstairs, made our purchases and retired to the comfortable room upstairs to knit, chat and enjoy each other's company. I understand there are workshops held in this space regularly, and it is ideal for that as well. If only it wasn't so far away! read more

Yet another wonderful experience with Rosemary at The Constant Knitter! I first came to this shop in 2014 and finally made it back when I was in Dublin for work. Rosemary was just as knowledgeable, kind, and helpful as when I first met her and gave me some great advice on yarn for a project that I wanted to start during the rest of my travel season - she even looked up the pattern for me on Ravelry to make sure we both knew what wool would work best. I cannot recommend this shop enough! I wish I could find a shop I like even half as much in America! read more
