Hands down the best bar I've ever been to in the world. No one comes close to their combination of…read morethe best cocktails, atmosphere, and staff. Cocktails: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Cost to worth it rating: 4 ($16-19 per highest quality cocktail) Opentableable: yes Return worthiness: yes! Eve award: best bar in the world (the 50 best bar people should've officially kept it there 2025 to 2026) Highlights: - Cocktails: all were top notch and delightfully balanced - Willy Wonka style magic: peanut butter and jelly and Cookie Monster as examples. Incredible to have these liquids taste like their namesakes--but not in a super sweet but smooth quality way. Pb and j came with a crazy white chocolate rendition of the sandwich and Cookie Monster their own version of an Oreo - Olive oil tequila gimlet: never would normally order this but it was delightful. Almost a butterscotch taste and a nice large green olive sitting at the bottom. - Whiskey cocktail: short was clarified and lovely - Staff: world class, top notch, could not imagine any better. Highly skilled, professional, welcoming, and fun. My niece had a few sips left in her martini drink and they transferred it to a newly chilled glass. I've never seen that done before and it was so classy. - Vibe: perfection. Classy, comfortable, and fun. Lightening was perfect: dark enough for mystery but light enough you could see. Volume just right as well. Bar seating plus few low tables. - Bar with front row seat to the drinks being created - Bar snack mix: always love this being provided. This one had almonds, sunflower seeds, and crunchy crickets! Tasted fine to me. Midlights: - For 2026 ranked #6 bar in the world but #12 in North America. That's perplexing. I vote #1 for both Lowlights: - Can be hard to get a reservation even booking exactly when your date is ready

My highlights were the welcome of every one of their team as you walk in and the goodbye you get. I also liked that they gave you towel to wipe your hands. The drinks were a bit lackluster. They sat us at the bar in front of the mixologist so we expected to get drinks mixed right in front of us but instead we got them poured out of containers where they had already been pre-batched. Not the crafted cocktails I was looking for. The dim lighting, bubbles for birthdays and friendly service was what I loved. The drinks left me wanting more. Worth going once to see if it's your vibe. The baltra classic tomate y ruibarbo was also very smooth, almost indiscernibly blended but the sweet rhubarb comes in at the end. The bartenders are great and seating at the bar was pleasant. Great music and ambiance and I would definitely visit again to try their tea cocktails. The menu is a delight to look at, it's beautifully and thoughtfully designed with flavor profile descriptions. Not to mention the dill spa water is a very nice sip. I'd come here for breakfast if I could.

So needless to say we had high expectations. The space itself is very cute offering a small bar, some indoor seating as well as some nice patio and outdoor seating. Overall it's not large, but it has a cozy vibe. We didn't have a reservation, though they are encouraged, but we went shortly after the opened and were able to be sat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and happy to offer rec's. The menu is so fun, but primarily in Spanish. Some of their most popular cocktails have some fun doodles and imagery to go wuth them and we really enjoyed perusing the menu. We both started with the Ultima Duda or Last Doubt, which is their spin on an espresso martini that is mezcal based. Presentation was very fun and the cocktail was lovely. For my second round I went something a bit fresher and opted for the Sumi, which was gin based and had a lovely egg white foam, my favorite. Overall, the vibes were good, cocktails were solid, prices reasonable and service was good. Neither cocktails blew me away, but it was a very fun visit if you happen to be able to get a table or opted for a post dinner nightcap.

Mezcal focused cocktail bar. Lighting is fairly dim but warm, lit mostly by candles except for the…read moreoutside seating which is exposed to the streetlights and traffic. Honestly the openness is welcome on this cool autumn day although the sounds of cars and people was sometimes a touch distracting. Music was fun but not particularly heavy, maybe more of a casual date than something velvety. Service was quite attentive and prompt although I did arrive quite early and there weren't very many people there. Not all the waitstaff are very fluent in English but they are happy to bring someone who is if you have questions. They are the sister bar/restaurant to La Clandestina which is literally right next door which also focusses on Mezcal. Honestly, I don't really know what the difference is between the two aside from the people who are literally mixing the drinks and serving you as the house mezcals are also under the La Clandestina name. Ordered their Habanero house cocktail which was a mix of their Espadin Joven Mezcal, orange liqueur, and a raspberry/bluebery/habanero syrup garnished with a dehydrated orange slice and rimmed with salt, chili, and maybe some more habanero. Note, the menu doesn't actually mention the syrup, I dragged that out of them since I was wondering why the cocktail was so pink and also tasted like it definitely had more than mezcal and orange liqueur in it. The end cocktail is a light and fruity affair but not particularly sweet or acidic and actually balanced out with the body and smoke of the mezcal. I normally despise salt rims, finding it overpowering on first sip and nonexistent on the next but theirs toned down the salt levels enough that each sip around the rim was actually quite pleasant. The habanero in the syrup maybe offers a smidge of vegetal notes and a little bit of spice if you're particularly sensitive to it but the rim itself was actually a delight, giving a light tingle to the lips with each sip. I wouldn't say the cocktail was particularly spicy but more tingly which I found myself actually preferring over other chili included cocktails I've had in the past. They do offer a variety of bottles of tequila and mezcal to sell and take home with you, notably the ones under the Clandestina name that are made just for the bar. Not all of these tequilas and mezcals are available to try directly but the bartenders will offer you a shot of the closest one that is available on the menu (mind you, trying a shot is just paying for an ounce/35 ml of the stuff but that's all on the menu). I decided to give that a shot before biting the bullet on a whole bottle of mezcal. The shot of mezcal comes in a glass wider than a traditional shot glass so you can actually sip the thing comfortably and they also give you a few orange slices with tajin to chase/nibble on. Apparently they offer a flight of mezcal which I'd honestly recommend, especially if you're here with some friends. Definitely recommend coming by for well executed cocktails but particularly for the chance to try Mezcal of varying regional origin, age, and abv.

The attention to detail is so amazing that even the can of club soda I order to splash on my whiskey on the rocks was covered with a cozy made with linen. We started with different appetizers, including prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and stuffed squash blossoms. All the appetizers were outstanding, but the blossoms were out of this world. I also had a house salad with a homemade vinaigrette, it is incredible how something so simple can be so delicious. For my main course I had homemade ricotta stuffed tortellini over cream sauce and black truffle shaved on top. The tortellinis were so fresh and the sauce was so light and flavorful that I just couldn't stop eating. For dessert I tried the mini cannolis... they were very good. The mascarpone cheese filling was incredible. The service was outstanding as well. Overall the whole experience was excellent. I cannot wait to visit Santa Fe again to visit.
