Glue got on my boots from them replacing the heel and he offered no solution. My first time going here and went based on reviews. When I walked in the owner didn't even smile or say hi. He had the biggest attitude with me. I smiled and explained what service I needed. I had 1 pair of black shoes that needed new heels. He mumbled and finally said to pick them up 3 days later afternoon. 3 days later I came to pick up my shoes. He again was not friendly and explained he didn't have my shoes. Then he said I told you to pick them up today? I handed him the tix he wrote up. He went to the back and found my shoes. He then asked me to stay 15 mins while he worked on them He had them for 3 days, not friendly at all, gave me the biggest attitude and had me wait while he did the worst rush job on my shoes. I've never left a review for anything. I was compelled to leave a review for this one. I brought in a brand new pair of boots that needed stretched for better fit. When I picked up the boot, I didn't notice the liner was missing. Only realized it when I had to wear it for an event. I went back to the store to let him know, but he completely denied that he might have forgotten to put it back in. He charged me another $20 for a new set of liners that was honestly his mistake. I'm not really mad about the money but the fact that he put the blame on me, was super argumentative, Hostile unprofessional and rude about it. I mean why in the World would I on purpose take the liner out of my own boots, drive 30 minutes back to the store to pay $20 for new Liners. Super unhappy with customer service. read more

I AM BLOWN AWAY by the incredibly fast and immaculate service by David. I dropped off a pair of boots to be resoled, and a new Justin boot to have a zipper put in it on Tuesday. I explained I needed them on Thursday, meaning NEXT Thursday and David called me yesterday to tell me my items were done!!! I felt horrible for the miscommunication on the dates. But, BLOWN AWAY that he'd accomplished my order. Just picked the Boots and I cannot stress how beautiful of work David did in placing the zipper in my boot. My left Ankle is fused and doesn't bend, therefore forcing me to put zippers in my cowboy boots. He literally hid the zipper. I will NEVER go anywhere else to have my cobbler services filled. Once again I have to say how amazing this shop and its owner is. My husband had a Tumi backpack that had a broken zipper. He took it in and by the time he picked it back up he couldn't remember which zipper had been broken and neither could the store owner which is quite a bit about the quality of work that is done there. He's done several repairs for me but when you have expensive bags like Tumi how wonderful is that that you could take them in and have them repaired to the point where you can't even see what was repaired instead of making another expensive purchase! In moving to the area I needed a new cobbler. I was use to this particular store off Mockingbird in Dallas and was nervous about finding someone close to home that would rival in experience/attention to detail. Well, I think I've found the one that, perhaps, if I ever move BACK to Dallas I'll drive up to The Colony to use. Small store front nestled back in an un-used shopping center located on the corner of Paige and South Colony. If you drive toward the center of the long "L" shaped shopping center you will find this store on the right of the Dollar Store. I first took five pairs of high heels that need the ends to be replaced and a few heels needed mending. I was impressed upon the return that not only did they replace the stoppers with high quality stoppers (slightly higher ones, too!) they matched the color of the stopper with the sole of the shoe (tan with tan and black with black) which I have NOT gotten done elsewhere. I also "tested" this location with a pair of my designer shoes that had a soft leather wrapped heel that I had unfortunately torn up. Not only did they wonderfully replace the stopper but corrected the leather they best they could to the point they look new again! I was so pleased with their work that I took in a pair of good riding boots to have resoled and can't wait to get those back. All in all it cost roughly $30 for five pairs of shoes to be mended and the duo that runs the shop couldn't be nicer. I had these five pairs ready in a week and was so pleased! read more

I am so happy I found them. I took one of my favorite pair of leather boots in to get the counter part of my boot fixed. I couldn't quite part with it yet. I think they did a great job for a reasonable price. They also got it done pretty quickly and cleaned them up for me. It looks a bit darker in the picture cause they just cleaned it. But it lightened up again and now look amazing. My boots will probably last me another year or even longer thanks to them. It definitely looks better than it did before! The people here are friendly enough but that's about the only good thing I can say about my experience. I took two pairs of Allen Edmonds dress shoes in to have them resoled and polished. I got them back and one of the pairs had multiple black spots on one of the shoes which definitely weren't there when they were dropped off. I asked about it and they said that I had probably spilled something on them... when they had been in his possession for the previous 4 days... and they were clean when I dropped them off... Hrm. After a bit of coaxing they took them back and got the spots off so I figured everything was fine. I got both pairs home and started looking them over again and found dark black lines down the sides of BOTH pairs. They are not overly obvious unless you are looking at the shoes closely. However, these are $300+ pairs of dress shoes and it ticks me off to no end that someone who supposedly works with shoes every day will give a pair back to a customer in a worse condition than when they were brought in. This "cobbler" may be good with boots but DO NOT take nice dress shoes in here. read more
