Came for the CBD Coffee. Always wanted to try
    Gina H.

We just moved from Denver out of Colorado. But I wanted to stop here beforehand b/c I had read an advertisement that you could order CBD coffee here. IDK if I'd do that again as it was a simply a Keurig pull and I didn't really notice anything. I was impressed with their game and other community night events. If you go, check these out. They have another headshop right next door, too

The welcome was aces! We were warmly greeted, shown exactly where to go, and immediately made to feel comfortable. They have this rare ability to make you feel like you're walking into something exclusive without feeling pretentious or intimidating. Before we even made it to the bar, people were introducing themselves and making us feel welcome. I mentioned that I'd seen one of the team members being super fabulous on Instagram, and we had some fun conversation. Every interaction felt real. We tried one of the vapor bags, and it lived up to the hype! The infused drinks were SO GOOD, especially the grape infusion. The food was awesome. We had the bagel bites, burrata, and sliders. Everything was rich, a bit salty, and exactly what you want after a vapor bag. You know. The space is wild. Super chill. Cirrus feels like what would happen if a luxury airline lounge, a Tom Ford campaign, and a cannabis social club had a baby. Crystal chandeliers, oversized floral prints, dramatic drapery, fireplaces, and a grand piano create a space that feels more like a series of carefully curated scenes than a lounge on Colfax. It's glamorous without being stuffy, theatrical without being pretentious, and juuust weird enough to keep it interesting. And the DJ!!!!! HUGE shout out because their playlist was FIRE and set the entire mood! Also, see the bathrooms... All four of them! It feels like if you gave Tom Ford a blunt and told him to design a social club. What really makes Cirrus special, though, is the people. Every single person we met was kind, welcoming, chill, and genuinely happy to be there. It made us want to be there. Living in Colorado, you can stop at a dispensary and sit on your couch at home or go to a park any day of the week. What you can't recreate is this experience. The hospitality, the atmosphere, the sense of community, the feeling that you're somewhere unique. They've created something really special here. Check it out!

That's a landmark for any organization! For a while, DPC had some ups and downs, as happens in long-established clubs. It had a season of bad leadership, mismanaged direction, and a whole lot of rebuilding to do. The ship is now righted. It again feels like the community space I got to know and call a second home when I first moved to Denver over 20 years ago. The programming has grown with monthly and quarterly events from craft nights and mixers to traditional poker Thursdays. The topics for special conversations and panels are engaging, informative, and offerings for a better understanding of current events and international policies. The guest bartenders and handful of annual functions continue as well, but there are so many more opportunities for engagement with the club and its members now, too. If you only want good conversation and good cheer, this is still the place to pull up a seat while Jim makes sure you're not thirsty! Beyond the historic setting and stories from another time, I'm glad to report that The Denver Press Club once again stands as a place to gather that honors its rich legacy, which has monitored Denver's pulse for over 100 years.

It's a private club for journalists and beyond and the oldest press club in the country! I was absolutely amazed by the old school charm and the swanky bar on the second floor. Don't forget to take a tour of the basement poker room also. There is history in every corner throughout the building from the typewriters, names of "deadline room", "poet's corner", etc. to all the notable journalists cartoon portraits on the wall. Hope to be back again some day!

I'd go back if a friend really wanted to go and we could sit at the bar, otherwise I was unimpressed with my experience there. 1. The decor/vibes are elegant and classy, but the staff aggressively ask for IDs at the door like bouncers instead of just asking at the time of ordering like a nice bar. Also the paper towels in the bathroom are the cheapest I've ever seen, not matching the facade of the place. They also make you pour your own water, just not elevated service considering the elevated appearance of the place. 2. Someone in my group called ahead the previous week to ask about a reservation accommodating 7 people since they only have reservations for up to 6 available online. When other people in the group arrived, the hostess/waitress was very resistant to us explaining our phone reservation and made us stand there at the front door to discuss instead of just letting us sit in the very empty seating area. After a few minutes of this, they finally let us sit in the wide open area for "an hour" until their actual reservation 1:45 after our arrival. The seating areas were small, so it makes sense they don't offer reservations for 7+, but then their employee shouldn't have told us on the phone that it'd be okay. 3. We watched them turn away a group with a silent infant because it wasn't 21, which just seemed odd. At the end they did bring our group cute cava shots, but I don't feel like that made up for the unwelcoming attitude of the staff.

During check-in they said I received an upgrade, but I'm not sure to what, because the view was a roof and the room couldn't fit one suitcase, never mind two. It was cute however. Blackout shades are irrelevant if they don't cover they can't cover the entire window. Slivers of light will wake you up, which is surprising since when you pull back the drapes, the room lacked natural light. If you stay with Amex Platinum hotel collection and receive benefits, you might be disappointed. It says complimentary breakfast, which at check-in you learn is $30 a day. This might be ok except lattes are $7 and there's a 20% gratuity included on all bills. The $100 resort credit can only be used at their rooftop bar and their "member's" restaurant (not the two on-site restaurants on the ground floor) and in-room mini bar, however half the items were expired. The gym in the basement is solid and better equipped than most, but wish there was natural light. Pool table in lobby is nice touch. Housekeeping knocked on door and we asked she come back in an hour. We were disappointed upon returning home to our unrefreshed room. The realized she did come because we had new towels. I know many hotels limit housekeeping services, which I'm fine with, if they state it. Location: A Value: D Service: B- Amenities: C
