His knowledge and way of teaching has always inspired me. I graduated from NHI 14 years ago, there is not a day that goes by that I do not utilize the tools and knowledge I had received in my daily life. The responsiveness of NHI's staff is Stellar! The communication is always open. The guidance from the staff to help you on your journey is remarkable. I highly recommend NHI to anyone who is interested in the Wellness field . I am forever grateful to Steve and Staff for all that they have done for me. Sending light and love to NHI always!

If you have any doubts if this program is the right fit for your or not, DO NOT enroll. I enrolled…read moreat NHI and paid in full ($3900) for the Holistic Health Practitioner program. Upon receiving materials, I completed one lesson within the entire 1,000 hour certification, approximately 5-8 hours of coursework and felt the program was not the right fit for me. A large portion of the materials was emailed and it took over an hour to sort out what, was what. Most if not all of the program is chapter reading and then a quiz. I contacted NHI using their stated email address on their FAQ but did not receive any response for two days. The FAQ listed on the NHI website stated a refund could be issued based upon percentages completed in the program. Upon making contact again using a different email, I had to reach out every day for 5 days being told "they would hopefully get back to me later that day". Eventually being told that the Director would not honor my refund; "Once you have received your books and all of your enrollment materials, there is no refund except for the books, if you want to send them back, providing they are in "like-new" condition and we can send them to another student. (About $250 mind you) We would, however, like to offer you some extra help and other live lectures at no cost to you, that hopefully will help you get the most out of the program." Why would I want free lectures if I do not want your core content? The communication with NHI has been nothing but unprofessional and the fact that they advertise but do not honor their own refund process is extremely frustrating and concerning. Please do your research and know that this program is for you before you drop $3900 on a useless certification like I did.

The staff and instructors actually care about their students so if you feel lost they are always there to help you out. The Engineering Technician course took about 4 months to complete. It really is an accelerated type of course that teaches you the basic fundamentals of being an engineering technician taking you through so many lessons such as mechanics, electrical, automation, pneumatics, troubleshooting, blueprint reading, just to name a few. They really take you through so many subjects and it is up to you to figure out which subject you want to focus on. When you find out you let your staff and instructors know... they will lead you in the right direction I guarantee it. With this certification you can literally go to any industry and any related position to the course. It really is up to you whether you want to be an engineering technician developing medical devices or an electro-mechanical technician ensuring a production line is running... the possibilities are endless! Anyways, the Engineering Technician program is meant to give you a hell of a jumpstart in your career and I really am thankful for who I have met and worked with along the way whether they be students, staff, or instructors. I still take classes here and there ever since 2019 because that is just how good this trade school is. TCI FOREVER

The college provides hands on training and job placement which is excellent for people looking for opportunities when they come up by being prepared for the job market. This fun yet rigorous learning environment gives the students knowledge for everyday use. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this option for people seeking to enter the engineering workforce or for someone looking to learn something new.

I enrolled in the Phlebotomy Training Academy (PTA) 3-week course (held over 5 Saturdays) because it seemed like a quick and convenient way to complete phlebotomy training. Unfortunately, my experience has been very different from what I expected. I completed the course in August. The National Healthcareer Association (NHA) exam was more difficult than the curriculum prepared us for. However, I did learn a lot during the course, especially from Alana, who was a fantastic instructor and very knowledgeable in her field. I passed the NHA exam in October and immediately began the externship placement process in November. This is where the majority of my issues began. The program primarily uses two externship sites: * Palomar Health - which currently has an extremely long waitlist for externship placement. * Sharp Rees-Stealy - which was restricted to "essential personnel only" and required additional background checks and drug testing. When they eventually responded about placements, they said they would only accept one student per month. Because of the long waitlists and restrictions, I chose a third externship option that required an additional $300 payment. This option was supposed to guarantee faster placement and allow students to complete the externship and obtain state certification within one week. I also attempted to pursue certification through other organizations, such as the American Red Cross, but I was unsuccessful in securing placement through those routes. I have called and emailed the school multiple times without receiving clear answers. I eventually went to the office in person, where Leah advised me to speak directly with Ken Gravley regarding placement, even though I had already been trying to reach him. When I finally spoke with Ken, he told me to stop by the office and bring cash or a check for the externship placement with Dr. Wong. This felt unusual because he told not only me but other students the same thing to place the cash or check in an envelope and leave it in his mailbox, with no receipt or proof of payment. We were told that at some point he would contact us with externship dates. This entire process has been a stressful and frustrating experience, especially while balancing work and personal responsibilities. I strongly recommend that future students carefully consider the potential challenges they may face when enrolling in this program. I have also reached out to several previous students who left 1-star reviews here and received responses from Ken. I plan to update this review based on whether those students were ultimately able to receive externship placement and obtain their certification. If students are unable to become certified after paying $1,995 for the program, that is a significant financial loss. Living in California is already expensive, and it is concerning to invest that amount of money in a program that may not provide the support needed to obtain certification as promised.

She has had tons of experience working in the field, so you know you're in good hands! The theory portion of the class was fast and somewhat vague at times but it all made sense once we got to the skilled nursing facility for our clinicals. My instructor was on the floor with us everyday during clinicals. The first day was a bit overwhelming but over time, I felt very comfortable interacting with patients and performing skills. By the end of the clinicals, my classmates and I felt more than prepared for our test. We were lucky that our state exam was scheduled the day after we officially finished the course. Everyone in my class passed!! Shoutout Ms. Lauren for being the best instructor!! This was such a great program and I would highly reccommend it to anyone looking to get certified or gain hands on experience/hours for PA/NP/Med School etc.!!
