    Very good Fries
    Sean R.

I'm pretty picky about fish n chips when it comes to the breading. Usually I prefer a thicker, crunchier breading if u know what I mean but most places do it the thinner style. This one was the thinner style but it was fresh and crisp and thick tender pieces of flaky juicy fish. They didn't have the halibut so I went w/ the cod & it was great. The fries were also perfectly fried and seasoned as well. It was fairly priced at $19 for quality fish IMO. There was a small thing that annoyed me tho - the guy tried to charge me extra for tartar sauce which it says on the menu board it comes with. Tartar is 100% a necessity w/ fish&chips, it'd be like eating pancakes w/o syrup and that's just psycho behavior.

Cajun spices on fish & chips. Not good. Onions in onion rings were shredded or something. Bits of onion and not a full onion

The one that is not filtered and is the "first to review" is also fake, as it refers to Cajun seasoning which this truck DOES NOT USE.

Oh, now this is actually a really unique new addition to our fish & chips landscape! The fish at…read moreleast is battered with a wonderful cornmeal coating that makes it come out absolutely un-greasy, super crunchy, and very nicely tasty! The coating even held up perfectly to the steelhead I ordered, which, as you know if you love steelhead like I do, is a very fatty/oily delicate fish. I've tried making beer batter with steelhead before and it both breaks apart too easily and also, the oil and fat of the fish make the coating get soggy very fast. Not here! The steelhead was super fresh and tasty. But wait, there's more, much, much more...! When I say that I mean the portions. Holy fabulous fish fry fantasy, Batman! These are BIG chunks of fish, each about the size of half a fillet! See the picture! I ended up giving 1 away to some people near me (who LOVED it) because there was no way I could eat all this! Even with that, I was so full, I could only eat like 3 french fries. And, the fries were very good, handmade, thick cut wedges, not quite jojo's, but thick enough to be super fluffy inside. But, that's not all...! She said she makes everything from scratch, including the tartar sauce. Oh, I love tartar sauce for my fish and chips, and this one was SO gooooooooood! Now, I can't imagine she made the ketchup, but I was very happy to find that, instead of a few measly commercial packets, I got two, count 'em, TWO nice big containers for dipping, much better than most carts. This was the perfect mix of protein and a bit of carbs before a hard bike ride down the Springwater and back!

The gentleman at the truck was friendly and helpful and gave us many options for side sauces and condiments. We ordered the small clam strips and small halibut. It was on the expensive side but really wanted to give them a try. We were home and eating in 10 minutes. Both dishes were good sized and no oil. The outside of the halibut were crunchy and flavorful. The clams were overall very tender and the outside batter had great taste. The fries were done well and the seasoning was really good. The coleslaw and tartar sauce were both great. We'll definitely return!

Prawn taco: 3 stars good flavor on the prawn but completely covered up by the hefty toppings. I had to try the prawns plain to get a sense of the taste. Mostly would describe as the mango flavor with little spice from any habenero. Catfish chili taco: 3.5 stars , solid flavor but completely covered by the wasabi slaw. No chili taste was present. Would be more accurate to call it wasabi catfish- i happen to love wasabi but it still overpowered any depth of flavor to soley be a wasabi taco. The flavors overall were pretty good, however there was very little balance in the tacos. I recommend if you like a heavy taco, not focused on the meat that these would be the tacos for you. With a little more balance allowing the seafood and the spice blends to shine these could be top notch, but they fall short. I was able to also try the yellow fin tuna fish and chip special and I would not recommend that at all. The texture on the fried tuna was downright dense and poor. There is a reason tuna is typically seared and not fried- and this highlighted it for me. The standard breading was VERY light, and provided no texture or taste for the dense fish. I would only recommend getting a standard fish like cod, or halibut and with the beer batter for the fish and chips. I would only rate the yellow fin with standard batter 1.5 stars The guy running the place was very nice
