Recently, we were given an old wall chime clock by good friends. It had not been used in 30 years. ContactEd Barry and sent pictures to verify if he could work on it. He immediately responded and sent an appointment. He and his son arrived as scheduled, then went right to work Just like the surgeons they are. Within a couple hours the clock was up and running and making a beautiful chime. They were very professional and had all the tools and parts necessary for the repairs. After a conversation several days ago at which time Mr. Barry and I established date and time, today Monday Aug.19, 10:00am, for a Grandfather clock clean and adjustment, my wife called me at 11:00am today about a NO PHONE CALL and NO SHOW from Mr. Barry. This service call is not off to a good start. Currently, it is 11:30am and still a NO PHONE CALL or NO SHOW. We'll see where this goes. ** Addendum I just received a phone call from my wife that she was able to make contact with Mr. Barry, the Clock Surgeon, who informed her that last night, Sunday, Aug. 18, that his Mother-in-Law has passed away. Today, Monday, Aug. 19., he in fact had contacted me on my cell phone about the passing of his Mother-in-Law and cancelling the service call, however, since I work in a Restricted/Secure area and cells phones are not permitted inside, I was not aware of the sad news. My wife and I agreed that he should focus on his family issue and we'll reschedule the clock visit for a later date. Therefore, I am not able to make provide a truthful and accurate assessment of his service work capabilities at this time. read more
