I explained that the pet had soiled the rug. I was quoted a price of approximately $180 something. I was told they could pick up and deliver the rugs, but that if any furniture had to be moved, there would be an additional charge...I think around $80 dollars. I went back to her apartment, rolled up the rug and put it in a closet. I also took a photo of the label on the back of the rug. I went back to the store to show them the photo with the dimensions along with a description of the rug description. Barry told me the cost of submersion cleaning based on the information I had given him on the photo would be approximately $180. My aunt has Alzheimers Disease and is assisted living, and I was afraid she might not remember where the rug was located. I told him exactly where the rug was located in the apartment. I returned to NY where I live thinking we had a clear agreement. When the guys came to get the rug, They passed by the closet where the rug was located and went straight back to her bedroom. They took a rug that was under her bed, which obviously required them to move the furniture, but they left the rug that I wanted cleaned in the closet. When I heard what had happened from a friend, I immediately called Barry. He said they would go back to get the rug, but I would have to pay the fee for furniture being moved. I made my case, that it was their fault the crew picked up the wrong rug. I asked what they would charge to also clean the smaller rug from the bedroom. He quoted me $50 something, so I told them to go ahead and clean both rugs since they had them, and I would split the moving fee, which he agreed to. I was told it would take approximately two weeks. Almost 8 weeks later they called to tell me the rugs were finally ready. When I asked about the final charge, it was substantially higher that the price I was originally quoted. My big mistake was leaving the store without the quoted price in writing. I tried explaining that I had been a much lower quote of approximately $290 for both rugs, and now they said it would be $420. He resorted to making excuses about how it must have been due to the size of the rug (which they saw on the label beforehand and the fact that it was wool instead of synthetic...also on the label). Then he became more aggressive and told me that since the pandemic, he has had to deal with so many nasty customers. I assured him my complaints have nothing to do with the pandemic, but rather on the fact that I was quoted a lower price and then charged significantly more. He again said he's been in business for 50 something years. Again, all and good, but that has nothing to do with my situation. I would never deal with this store again, and I would warn anyone who does to be sure to get everything in writing!

I got a good quote and booked an appointment to steam and shampoo the carpets. On the day of our appointment I called Larry and asked if they could also clean our hardwood floors as well. He stopped by the office to pick up his supplies as they were already on their way to the house. They did an excellent job and the stains on the carpets were removed. They poured stuff on the floor, mopped it, scrubbed using a machine, then mopped again, and dried the floors. I was most impressed with how clean my hardwood floors looked. They were a lighter shade of brown since the hardwood floors were so dirty. I could eat off the floor! Thanks for all your hard work and for making me one happy camper! Also when he gave us the bill he was very honest to let us know we gave him too much and asked if we saw total amt on the bill - we told him the rest was for him & his team. After getting the runaround with some other local companies, I found Lamar online. I called and they answered on the first ring and then showed up ON TIME that same day to give me a quote which was very fair. The communication is top notch - their automated system sends a text message when they are on their way - and every phone call you speak directly to the owner who will be doing your cleaning. I was very impressed with the care they took in cleaning our carpet. The furniture was moved and put on small styrofoam blocks and the 30+ year old carpet looked great once they were finished.
