I went back to the shop and they were incredibly helpful giving me a new pair in a larger size. The selection of children's shoes is great, everything from Lelly Kelly to Startrite school shoes. The shop is roomy, so the children get to do a catwalk style check in the mirror. Absolutely lovely shoes and the staff couldn't be nicer. They were very pretty and my daughter had saved them to wear on holiday once she had broken up. She wore them twice, the second time rubbing her badly and the sequins on the top on both shoes started to come unstuck. Today we returned to Gimme Shooz to be told that they have a 28 day returns policy and although we stated that they had been only worn twice, it was suggested that my daughter had damaged them, thus inferring we were lying and the item wasn't faulty. This has left a nasty taste and unfortunately we found out the hard way that customer care is only good if you are within the 28 days. A real shame as local businesses should be better than that.

This includes clothes, shoes, accessories, homeware, seasonal goods and more. They also now have a party department, which has lots of great decorations, balloons, sweets, game and other things suitable for all sorts of party you may hold. Joining is very easy, all you do is complete a form then you are immediately a member and able to purchase from the shop. There is a private car park for this shop which always has a few spaces and is free.

The staff are very helpful and the shoes are all reasonably prices. Also, and very importantly, they don't spend 10 minute trying to sell you shoe cleaners and shoe protectors that you don't want or need. If you're after a no-nonsense shoe shop with helpful staff and a good selection then this is the place that you are looking for!

I have had leather boots from here that have lasted a good 2 to 3 years. They have been hard wearing and comfortable. I have also bought sensible work shoes from here that haven't cost much, but have lasted. The staff are friendly and don't harass you while you are looking, but are very helpful if you need help. Other shops should take a leaf out of their book.
