So after a lot of rest, I needed to help the rehab along, so I headed down the road for a massage at Alderney Chiropractic. Oh. My. God. Awesome. My therapist's name was Mhari and she was just great. She was knowledgeable and had that great massage style that felt really gentle but you could tell she was really working out the kinks. Considering the area (yup, my butt), she totally helped me feel comfortable. Have also heard fantastic things about the resident chiropractor as well, though haven't had treatment myself. Another favourite was student discount--LOVE that. Great experience! Try them out! :)

He listens very well to my concerns and I simply feel comfortable. He runs a great clinic with great people working with him. They also have a great massage therapist, Michael, amazing! He knows what he is doing and brings relief to the problem areas very well. The receptionists are friendly and knowledgeable. They also have a good naturopathic doctor, Dr. Macleod, who is helping me figure out food sensitivities for me and my children. A great place for your health with people who care.

Centrally located for transit users and with plenty of street parking this space is practically perfect. It has a clean, modern feel, with a welcoming reception area and comfortable treatment rooms. A large main room beyond reception is sometimes used for yoga. The clinic is open until 9pm some evenings, so flexibility with appointments is rarely a problem. I followed Courtney here from a previous clinic. She's a bright and friendly face with a warm personality. She has a throughout knowledge of Massage Therapy with years of experience behind her. Courtney makes you feel at ease from the moment you see her and she eases your aches and pains while you're with her. Whether you're looking for a relaxing full body massage or a targeted deep tissue massage, Courtney is intuitive, calming, and caring. She occasionally offers specials via her website and her facebook page, as well as takes place in community events. Keep an eye out if you're looking for a deal as an excuse to treat yourself!

I have been suffering with severe headaches and migraines for almost two years now. I've been for test after test, and tried many different medications. As a last resort I decided to follow a co-workers suggestion and try out a naturopath at Pillars of Health. I booked an appointment with Dr. Jennifer Salib Huber (who is also a dietitian), and immediately felt at ease. She asked me more questions than I think my family doctor has ever asked me, and then was able to determine a likely cause, and a treatment plan including dietary changes and visits to a chiropractor (not a pile of prescription meds!) In three days I had better results than I had had in the past two years, and the following week I went to see Dr. Denise Wright, the chiropractor in the office, who also helped me greatly but with no big whipping or snapping movements that I was scared of. She was also great when it came to putting me at ease, and always uses the gentlest method of adjustment possible. She also suggested I see a Registered Massage Therapist (Meghan L. Munro (Palmer), and all three combined have virtually gotten rid of my headaches. I know for someone without medical coverage this can be expensive but for those who are covered by an insurance plan I would highly recommend all of the staff at Pillars of Health. I also liked that they are trying to help me not have to come back. I know that my sound weird but sometimes I feel like (especially with private practitioners), they want you to keep coming so they keep getting paid, but here getting you better really is their #1 priority. They do direct bill to Blue Cross, and their clinic is very clean and welcoming.

Well it did work! I'm off narcotics, reduced the other medications and feel terrific. She's helped me through back pain, lack of sleep, reduced energy levels, thyroid issues, and more. I can't say enough good things about their willingness to help and want you to feel better. My first visit was a head to toe overview of an hour to make sure we would focus on what was required. She's worked to make me feel better and is never trying to make me come more often than required.
