Please note that 104 does not mean first floor. You literally are on the bottom floor and have to climb the three flights every trip (in addition to the flight of stairs to the parking lot). Our space was sufficient for what we needed. It was pet friendly for our daughter's puppy. She had indicated that they were bringing the puppy but apparently it did not get into the notes or on the booking. Either way, the maid service did not come but once and never came again when they realized that the puppy was in her crate. The water in the kitchen never got warm for washing dishes. The beds were adequate for a condominium. I always pull back the bedding when I arrive to a location. The sheets had apparently been washed with something that had black lint in it. There was black balls of lint all over the bedding. You can imagine the concern we had until examination closer. The yellow warning tapes were on the deck due to the snow that was accumulated on deck. Going up and down steps outside the building were difficult. View from the room was good, but so much snow piled up that you had to go outside to really see the mountains. The biggest plus to the San Moritz was the shuttle service to town. It was only a phone call away. We did not have to wait more than 15-minutes. If they were going to be longer than the time needed, they would tell you to call back. Room Tip: Ask about the actual level of room. We were in 104 and thought we were on1st floor. Wrong!

To give you a great example, I had a VRBO family renting my home. First MH always goes by to make sure the house and grounds are ready before renter arrival. On a FRIDAY night at 7pm the boiler stopped functioning in the house. The temp outside was 8 degrees and the boiler provides HEAT for the house! My renter phoned the Mountain Home number and they responded within minutes. The owner was actually out of town with his family but fielded the call and got staff to bring additional electric heaters to the house. As anyone knows, it it very hard to get the "trades", in this case a plumber, to react on the weekend. Billy used his good relations with the trades to get a plumber scheduled first thing. To tell you the truth, when you are 1000 miles away from your house and something goes wrong, you want Mountain Home on the scene. On a regular, recurring basis, MH has a good system to schedule crews and take care of all home owner needs, from cleaning, monthly maintenance, seasonal maintenance, weekly monitoring, VRBO monitoring, construction , repair and rejuvenation of surfaces. As I have approached retirement, Billy has been great with working with me to coordinate some of my DIY projects to help with reducing my maintenance cost. That is important to me. Mountain Home and Billy Laird are honest, resourceful, responsive and conscientious. I highly recommend Mountain Home!

I just got back from a week in Aspen and we stayed at Lift One Condos. What a great place! We had a…read more3-bedroom unit on the second floor. It was a corner unit, so it had a wrap-around balcony, which was so nice the first few days we were there when the weather was so warm. The fire place was great to have on the next two days when it got cold again! Each of the three bedrooms had its own attached bathroom, which was great for our group, as we all got ready at the same time in the mornings. The kitchen was fully-stocked, so we didn't have to worry about buying plastic silverware or paper plates, and the cookware was all really nice. We made some good meals in that kitchen! There's also a heated pool and hot tub on the premises! The location of the condos is awesome. 3 blocks to the gondola on Ajax, 2 blocks to the bus stop for Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands, and Snowmass, and the stop for Ajax (if you don't want to walk the 3 blocks) is right in front of the building. You can also walk 2 blocks up from the condos to the Shadow Mountain lift on Ajax. The bus coming from the other three mountains drops you off at the Lift One doorstep, which is great after a long day of skiing. I highly recommend staying at Lift One if you're going to the Aspen/Snowmass area!

The staff is super friendly at the front desk and the rooms are nice and clean and serviced daily. Decent shampoo, conditioner, and lotion are included which is a nice plus compared to other condos where you need to run out and buy your own. Full size kitchens make it easy to keep nibblies on hand for easy breakfast before you hit the slopes or for times when you don't want to go out and eat. The City Market, the main grocery store in Aspen, is within walking distance though you'll want to balance the weight of what you can carry or consider multiple trips and buy only what you need if you are walking. No need for a car if you stay at Lift One though they have a small guest parking lot at no extra cost.
