Tara's super easy teaching methods taught me more in a one hour lesson then I've ever been able to accomplish by myself or at other dance studios. This is not the dance lesson for those who are trying out for the Olympic Precision Dance Competition Team, it's all about having fun dancing! If your into learning how to dance then don't miss out on this hidden gem. If you live outside this area it is well worth the trip, you won't regret it and will come back wanting to learn more!! I'm NOT a friend, family member or in anyway affiliate with Tara or her studio. I'm someone who's been looking for a dance instructor who can teach me how to dance AND I've found her.

Make sure that is something you are comfortable with, parents, because that's just how it is!! You may wonder how your kids are going to survive it but trust me - they do - because everyone is following the same set of rules. The counselors and administrative staff are super kind to each child and get to know their likes and dislikes. Kids with different abilities are welcomed with open arms if the administration feels they can safely be a part of the camp experience. This is the one camp out of the four BYM camps that offers arts experiences in addition to the immersion in nature. I hope their artistic programming will continue to develop and evolve to be inclusive to even more children, and I think it will from talking to the staff and hearing what they are working towards. Both of my kids have come home with lots of stories about enlightening experiences they've had - and new experiences seem to pop up each day as they have now been home less than a week. I am eternally grateful to BYM for giving my kids an opportunity to do something they never have, and can't wait to see what next year brings!!

My child did not have a good experience at camp. I had reached out and was told someone would get…read moreback to me but they never did so I am going ahead with my review. My daughter was bullied in the camp--people putting lotion in her tampons, throwing things at her to be cruel and on and on. I had checked a couple of times to see how she was doing and if she needed to talk to me and was told it was best not to do so, that she was fine. Then I discover that she had been asking to call me and was told she could not. If she had called me, I might have been able to address the troubles and get something done to stop them. It was a bit traumatic for her and she has been talking about it for a year afterwards. I don't know why they didn't bother to follow up. But I would not send my child there again. What a giant amount of money to pay for a child to be abused by troubled kids.

However, having taken martial arts a number of years ago I know quality instruction when I see it. The quality of instruction at the Winchester Tiger Den is impeccable, 5+ stars in that reguard. In my book that's what really matters. Great for kids.

There are 2 classes for adults every week (Monday and Friday), which my wife attends only Friday. She comes home exhausted but pleased with the effort she put into the class and all that she has learned. When you go to Tiger Den you become part of a family. Both my wife and daughter have made solid friendships as a result. Our daughter's discipline, confidence and respect has improved dramatically since we started going. There is a gym parents can use while there kids take classes. They offer an after school program where they pick up your child from school and help with homework. The summer camps are a lot of fun for the kids as they go on a field trip every day. Yes, it can be pricey but the benefits you're child will get from the experience are rewarding. In other words, money well spent.

Called today to pause my child's account due to two of our…read moreimmediate family members having major surgeries the month of October I was very thorough in explaining this. I was told by the receptionist she would speak with the owners due to our situation and see if they would remove the charge October. When I received a call back I was rather shocked and honestly upset I was told we would be required to pay for the entire month of October since the owners had already posted the bill to our account. I was to stress we haven't had a session yet this month and it is only the 3rd of October so why should we pay for an entire month we would not be using. Not to mention due to health reasons my child had miss sessions twice in September and we said nothing about make up days, we also paid for the entire month of September. I take full responsibility for the missed sessions and have no complaints in paying for sessions we never essentially received. What I have a major issue with is paying for services we won't be receiving. I was told the sessions could be make up sessions but honestly no thanks. We've have two trainers in the past two months and my daughter has not learned a single new skills because all they have done the past two months is basically a free for all with the kids due to new staff. Again I understand everywhere is short staffed. What I don't understand is paying for services we will not be using. Ultimately this has cause me to decide we will not be returning to East Coast as this company is not what it was a year ago, we are all human and I could not foresee not one but two major surgeries upcoming, the lack of empathy, understanding and respect is appalling at this point. Especially when this is coming from the owner themselves. We have never been late on payments and never asked for lenience in anyway until these unfortunate events occurred. With that said our business with East Coast will end and I will enroll my daughter elsewhere once everything calms down.

She is competing now which is what she wanted from the beginning. Her skills have exploded thanks to the talented coaching staff at ECG. The coaches encourage the girls to work together and treat each other respectfully. I love that. I do the same thing at home. I love how the coaches push the girls but do so in positive and affirming manner. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for cheer or gymnastics for their child. I had both my sons and daughter in gymnastics. Gymnastics provides an excellent foundation for boys in sports and will help them be more athletic and agile. This gym also offers a Ninja Warrior program which is really cool.
