The last time I went there, they had a 5 taco special with a small drink for $5. Now they have 4 taco special with large drink for $7.95. Really tender meat, not dry. I'm a fan. I got their limeade as a drink but hubby stole that too. Chris came out and took my order and I guess he recognized me from my posts, because he gave me some quesabirria to try. I've tried quesabirria at a truck at the Taco Shop Barbacoa y Birria Estilo Sinaloa, and it was really nice, very flavorful. I liked the consomme there. I've tried it at the food truck rally at Placeres Culposos and their actual tacos held up a lot better when dipped than other places. Taquizas Los Pistoleros quesabirria is a good version as well. They definitely give you a lot more cheese...and the consomme is more like a salsa. Thick with a kick. I wanted to support his business and saw that the restaurant was asking for donations to help his Tia with expenses since their breadwinner passed, so I have him some cash.
