This crew showed up EARLY every single day.  There was never any no show, surprises, or uncertainty.  As with any project, there are issues that come up.  In my case, nobody's fault, just is what it is.  That said, each and every time there was clear communication and joint decisions to resolve.  Money was saved anywhere it could.  If more money needed, I was given options to choose.  If I needed a redo, no push back whatsoever.  Very clear the goal was to make me happy with them and the end result. It's great when you know everyone on a first name basis from the construction crew to the back office to the owner. The worst I can say is my water bill went up a few dollars because we love our showers so much we can't get out!  We did a kitchen, two baths and a new fence.  We would 1000% use D.A.Y. again and sharing referrals with our friends and family.

I have had a few months to consider the quality of the work that was done. I have attached pictures. Honestly, I regret doing the project now. I wish I could go back in time and not do it. The tiling job on the shower definitely looks like a DIY project. It does not look like a professional tile job. The grout lines are horrific. The bathroom floor tile job was actually worse. The floor popped and snapped and many spots sounded hollow. They came out to "fix" it but could really never fix it. I ended up paying a different tile guy to tear up the new floor and put it a new new floor. It doesn't pop or snap. It looks clean and the grout lines are all the same size. Tile jolly should have been used in several places and it wasn't. I have exposed tile edges in my shower and that should not be the case. I had the new tile guy spruce up the shower bench and it looks much nicer. The new vanity is not flush against the wall. The new faucet drips behind the stream of water. Honestly, there is nothing in this remodel that I enjoy and I wish I had never had the project done. These are really nice people, but I do not think they know how to do tile. Another things is that I was told I could not have a shower niche, when in fact, the new tile man said I certainly could have. Also, do not be deceived into thinking they take credit card payments. They do not. All in all, I am completely unhappy with the workmanship. I am completely unhappy with the project and totally regret using them to do the project. They are nice people, but I would not recommend.

He has told that same fib 3 times in one month. I called UPS and was told no one from that company has called for a picked up with the tracking number he has provided. Any one can create a UPS label for pickup but if no one calls, the package will just sit in the warehouse. I'm at my witz end I do not know what else to do that's why I'm putting everyone on notice if you are trying to buy this item from Home Deport through GNZ Contractors please try to find it elsewhere because you will be waiting months and probably will never get it.

We signed a contract with Thomas and GnZ Contractor Solutions in August of 2020 for them to build…read moreus a home. From August to September he asked us for over $50,000 in construction loan draws to purchase materials, purchase engineered plans, clear and plow our land, and to start the project. He was obligated per our contract to also maintain general liability insurance to cover the entire project. From the end of August until December he and his crews did a total of 3 days of work and never got our land cleared and plowed. They also purchased no materials and no engineered plans as promised. We spent months trying to get him to do the work that was promised and gave Thomas numerous opportunities to remedy the situation. Finally in December after numerous back and forth emails, texts, and phone calls trying to get them to do work we found out that he had not had any General Liability since October. We demanded in January during a conversation with him that he return all the money that he requested from us as it had not been used to purchase any materials or any engineered plans. He has since directed us to contact his lawyer and even claimed that he used those funds on a lot of work done on our project. We were left with very little work completed (some footers filled with water and mud) and a huge hole in our building budget. We have yet to receive any of those funds and he apparently no longer have those funds that he took according to his lawyer. We have numerous pictures of his work (or lack of work) completed on our property. We even left a complaint on the Better Business Bureau with full details of everything we went through and every communication which he never responded to. I highly recommend that customers beware and to read that complaint before choosing this company or Thomas to do any work for them.

We hired Just Gill of JGill Installations to build us a deck for our pool. He charged us $110o for…read moresupplies, but refuses to send us an invoice for it. Then he built the deck, or rather his worker's did while he sat under our carport on his phone. The deck looked nice when they finished. However, as we began to use the deck, we found here's what we found: 1)nails that were left pointing out of the wood; 2) one of the support posts was so split that someone could easily be seriously wounded by it; 3) One of the decking planks was also split so bad that it too would cause injury; 4) There is about a foot wide gap left between railing and pool that wasnt even enclosed making it a hazard for children that might fall off the deck; 5) the gate is now not able to close due to incorrect building and installation and we needed the gate to lock out any children from wandering up to the deck. There were other things as well that we have just accepted as unprofessional such as the railing not being sanded so splinters can get into skin, and the stairs were not placed where we told them to build. Justin Gill didnt even go look over the work his crew completed or he would have found most of these problems. After some texting, he did come and correct some of the issues. Now he just is sporadic with responses to come back so we have requested a refund for the labor since we have to hire someone to fix his mistakes. Just found out that he is not licensed, as he says and it says on his business cards. I have found other people he has built for that are also having major problems and he will not respond to them to fix things. Be aware that while he may be the nicest guy in the world, he is young and inexperienced and very irresponsible. We paid him a total of $2200 for the deck.
