Tuition is only a little more if they're still in diapers, which is normal across all preschools. The playground is awesome, so the kids have a blast out there. With a "learning through play" philosophy, children are encompassed in a rich learning environment with small class sizes. My kids literally are beyond excited to go to school every day and ask if they can stay at SAC (their after school care that is already part of the tuition)! They just never want to leave. The school is hard on community vibes which is honestly incredible because everyone is happy and supportive. Classroom sizes are small which is absolutely amazing. My kids are learning so much, so quickly, and without just being trapped at a desk all day. It's honestly a dream come true for us. Our oldest is more sensitive in nature and was one I was so worried about with peer pressure, stress to "be good enough", feeling less than, etc. she is THRIVING. She has insane confidence, a huge heart, and has really learned to thrive with her more sensitive side thanks to this school, the staff, and how the classroom is run by these incredible teachers. My other two are little hot heads with our kindergartener loving to correct people and keep everyone in line :-) she is doing incredibly well too and quite literally is obsessed with her school, her class, and everything she is learning. There's also ample shade for when it's hot. The school has a great volunteer-led parent teacher organization with many fun activities, lots of opportunities to volunteer and stay connected. It is also a patriotic school - the church/school hold a ceremony to honor veterans each year! There are also several on-site enrichment activities throughout the year (Olympic athletes, fire and police department visits, farm / aquarium activities) and a nice Christmas musical program each year. There are four child care centers closer to my home but I make the drive to La Petite because it's 100% worth it. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable, supportive and kind. They have years of expertise behind them, and it shows in their interactions with the kids. The communication between the staff and parents has been excellent and I feel that we have always been informed of curriculum standards, child behavioral patterns and upcoming events that my kids could partake in. When my older two children started kindergarten, their teachers remarked about how well prepared they were to start elementary school. I believe La Petite was instrumental in getting them ready. While the quality of the education at La Petite has kept us there for years, their flexibility with attendance has been a major incentive as well. I am a first responder, and therefore my work schedule is never fixed. I have been able to send my children to school different days each week without this causing an issue for the staff. It has been extremely helpful! The tuition at La Petite is highly competitive to other childcare centers in my area. Considering the school provides meals, snacks and diapers for the kids, it's a great deal! You can't go wrong choosing La Petite Simi Valley for your child. I had my two children attend her daycare full time. My son, from age 1 year to the time he started kindergarten at 5yo. My daughter, from 4 months old, to 5 years. We had gone through some rough years with the kiddos - difficulty potty training, tantrums, picky eating, etc. Tracy went above and beyond to work with me and my kids, in the most loving and gentle way possible. My kids are now flourishing in school and it's no doubt due to Tracy! This is not an ordinary "at home center." The kids are not left in front of the tv for hours. She does curriculum with the older kids, arts and crafts, dancing, singing, playing inside and out - and promotes a healthy environment of sharing and being safe. She always gave every parent a quick report at the end of the day and let us know if anything needed to be addressed. I 100% trust her, and that, in and of itself, is priceless!
