Nicola is the best! She cares so much about her Nannies & Mannies and the families she works with. There's always clear communication, transparency, and support even after you're placed with a family. I love the family I was placed with and I couldn't be happier with all the support and guidance I was given. Highly highly highly recommend Nanny matchmaker! read more

Working with Nicola, the owner of The Nanny Matchmaker, has honestly been one of the best and most life-changing experiences since moving to Los Angeles. From the start, she made what could've been such a stressful process feel smooth, exciting, and really personal. I had just moved to LA and didn't know where to begin in finding a family that actually aligned with who I am as a person and caregiver -- and Nicola completely changed that for me. She took real time to get to know me -- my personality, values, and the kind of family dynamic I'd thrive in. Every family she introduced me to was amazing, kind, and genuine. The family I'm with now couldn't be a better fit. They're so down-to-earth and remind me of home and the strong connections I've had with families in the past. It's such a rare and special feeling to find a placement that feels like family, and that's 100% because of Nicola's intuition and dedication. Beyond matching families and nannies, Nicola is one of the most hardworking and organized people I've ever met. She somehow manages to juggle everything -- her business, tons of placements, constant calls, interviews -- yet still makes time for personal check-ins. She's incredibly responsive and always finds time to talk, even with her crazy schedule. What really stands out about her is how much she genuinely cares. She advocates for you, checks in often, and shares such thoughtful advice from her own experiences. In just a few months of knowing her, I've learned so much about professionalism, time management, and just how to carry myself in this field. She's also incredibly thorough -- one of my past families mentioned she spent nearly 20 minutes on the phone asking detailed, thoughtful questions during my reference check. That says everything about her. She doesn't rush the process; she makes sure every match feels right for both sides. That's what makes The Nanny Matchmaker so different from other agencies -- the personal touch. Nicola doesn't treat it like a transaction. She truly cares about the people she's connecting. She wants families to find the perfect nanny, and nannies to feel equally supported and valued. If you're a nanny looking for the right fit or a family searching for someone trustworthy and kind, I couldn't recommend Nicola more. She's professional, compassionate, incredibly organized, and genuinely invested in everyone's happiness. I'm beyond grateful for everything she's done -- I truly wouldn't have found such an amazing, kind-hearted family without her. read more

I highly recommend Nicola and the Nanny Matchmaker to help you find the right person to care for your loved ones. She spent the time to thoroughly interview our family and each of the candidates. Her questions were specific and she took the time to find the perfect match for our son's specific needs. She considered everything from experience, background, professionalism and personality. We are so happy with our new nanny and I feel confident going back to the office knowing our son is in good hands. You will be happy with having Nicola and her teams support. read more

Nicola from The Nanny Matchmaker was an absolutely incredible partner in finding a nanny. We tried looking on our own for awhile, and also talked with about 10 other agencies. It wasn't a fun experience, and almost everyone told us our timeline was completely unrealistic. If this sounds like you, STOP LOOKING WHEN YOU FIND THE NANNY MATCHMAKER! When we found Nicola, our hope was restored! We felt like she understood us, and made us feel like our expectations and timeline were totally within the realm of possibility while still being honest with us. The process of meeting nannies became so much more enjoyable after that - Nicola actively listened to us and wrote the perfect job description based on what we were seeking, then did all the hard work of interviewing, posting jobs, and vetting candidates. She was so responsive that we felt like her favorite clients :) Best of all, Nicola is completely knowledgeable about what to listen for and look for, so the candidates we interviewed were fantastic, and we ended up finding the perfect nanny. It's hard to imagine life without our nanny now, and it's all thanks to Nicola's incredible support. Truly a nanny matchmaker! read more

Nicola is truly incredible. We had worked with four other premier agencies in LA and nothing came close to Nicola's professionalism, deep understanding of a family's needs, and her unwillingness to compromise until she found the absolute perfect candidate. I will forever be grateful for how tirelessly she worked on finding the perfect fit for our needs. She is deeply invested in her clients' wellbeing and makes you feel like her only client. An absolute gem! read more

Nicola is truly wonderful. She is kind, professional, prompt and she cares deeply about every family she works with. Nicola spent over an hour talking with me about my needs and expectations for a nanny, and after our talk she sent me a ton of information about payroll companies and other helpful services. Any time I texted Nicola with a question she would reply right away. Nury, the nanny that Nicola sent us, was amazing: calm, experienced and great with our daughter. Nicola also uses her own past experience as a nanny to give excellent advice on little parenting hacks. In our case, it was finding the perfect sleep sack for my baby girl. My husband and I were using some other sleep sacks that didn't work, and Nicola recommended a certain brand. We wound up buying ten of those sleep sacks because our daughter loved them so much. I would definitely recommend Nicola for any nanny matchmaking needs you may have! read more

****DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH OTHER AGENCIES! THIS ONE IS THE BEST AGENCY IN LOS ANGELES!!! I am a career nanny with a master's degree and over 20 years of experience in the best households... Nicola, the owner of this company is a super smart, kind, thorough (former nanny!), who understands the needs of both high-end nannies, and parents with high expectations. What really impressed me was her professionalism and understanding that nannies like me with high education and years of experience in the best households are truly in need of being represented by someone who respects them for their superior skills and accomplishments and does not just view them as high priced babysitters. I am loathe to speak negatively of other agencies who have enthusiastically agreed to rep me and then treated me like I no longer existed a week later and after making me spend hours on their website filling out an infinite number of forms. Nicola Magrath at Nanny Matchmaker actually stayed on the phone with me and took all my information on my first phone call because she knew of a family for which I might be a good match. Almost immediately after we hung up she was texting me about interviewing with that family. Then, she stayed on top of every development with both me and the prospective parents via text which -- hello and welcome to the 21st Century -- moved things along at a blinding speed which, I can tell you, I am sure made the parents as happy and relieved as it made me. We didn't have to wait -- as I did with that other agency -- to email or call me back during their 9 to 5 "office hours," which draws out the process unnecessarily and causes both parents and nannies to miss perfect opportunities. Nicola -- whom I am pretty sure must work 24/7, given the speed of her responses to my texts -- arranged an interview, then a trial day with the parents within hours of meeting me and I had the job in less than a week. This is a very high-end, high class, and highly professional company and owner and I would enthusiastically recommend Nicola to anyone I know who is a high-end nanny looking for a family, or a family looking for a high-end nanny. I am so happy with my new Nanny Matchmaker Family!!! read more

Whether you're a nanny or a family in need of a nanny, look no further than The Nanny Matchmaker! Nicola is so professional and talented at her job. Her experience lends to her abundant knowledge of the industry and it's standards. She is great at matching families with nannies that work best for their family in particular, and she is an amazing advocate for her nannies. If you're a family that wants to ensure you find a highly qualified nanny who you can trust with your children you won't regret hiring Nicola. She will make sure both parties requirements are met so it can be a lasting and harmonious arrangement. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone! read more

Nicola is amazing. Super nice, professional, HELPFUL, and overall great. Very happy with my placement.

I got help from Nanny Matchmaker over a year ago and the process was fast and easy. Nicola was quick to reply and get me interviewed. She's on top of everything making sure you have everything you need and that you're up to date. The jobs are well paid and the families you're connected with are friendly. I highly recommend Nanny Matchmaker. read more

I was lucky enough to meet these two lovely ladies who are AMAZING nanny matchmakers. As a long time nanny, I understand the importance of finding the perfect fit for a family and nanny, and these ladies make the process extremely easy. They are so thoughtful and attentive to listening to both clients and prospective nannies. Their thorough process is outstanding, which leaves little room for failure when it comes to finding the perfect match. I was screened via email, phone, and had two in person interviews (one with Ashley and Nicola and the other with the prospective family.) They ask all the right questions and take ALL into consideration when presenting their options. After completing the interview process and being selected, I was matched with the most wonderful family. It was a perfect fit, and I'd love to say that I've created lasting friendships with all parties. HIGHLY recommended to any family looking for a wonderful team who will provide you with an outstanding nanny to join you and your chidrens' lives. read more

We are so thankful to have found Nicola at The Nanny Matchmaker! There is no doubt in our minds that The Nanny Matchmaker is the best nanny agency in Los Angeles. Based on our experience, the search fee is about half of what other nanny agencies charge. Nicola is thorough and precise in her search, and saved us so much time by weeding out unsuitable candidates based on our criteria. The nanny candidates that she sent us all had perfect resumes and excellent references. She sent us the most perfect nanny less than a month into our search-- we did a 1-week trial with her, and she was everything that we had been looking for and our kids loved her. Unfortunately, the day that we planned to hire her, she had a family emergency and would be unavailable to hire for 2 months. We loved her so much that we agreed to wait the 2 months, and we still hope to hire her when she is available again. Another unfortunate circumstance is that we are now in the midst of the crazy coronavirus situation, so we have paused our search for a temporary nanny in the meantime (which was included in the flat fee for the nanny search). We were also impressed with the temporary nanny candidates that Nicola sent us before we paused our search. Nicola is so understanding, caring, articulate, and professional. She takes the time to learn exactly what you are looking for in a nanny, and then proceeds to find the very best candidates on the market. We highly recommend The Nanny Matchmaker!!! And we truly thank Nicola for her amazing work. read more

Nanny Matchmaker helped me find the odd jobs I wanted to pick up here and there. I also always see great paying FT jobs as well they offer (unfortunately I cannot take them). Ashley is GREAT. Really sweet girl and they truly care about matching the nanny with the right family (which is super important for me). Thank you girls so much!! read more

I was looking for a full Time child care position, and my search was made easy with the help of these guys! Nanny matchmaker was helpful and professional in matching me with my new work family. I've been a nanny with new family now for over 7 months and love my job and the family I work for, and I don't think I would have found them without the help of Nanny Matchmakers. I'd recommend them for sure! read more

Nicola is truly amazing. She has this combination of warmth and professionalism and always listens without judgement because she cares. I would recommend any candidate looking for household work and families looking for quality candidates. You are in good hands with The Nanny Matchmaker. read more

I found Nicola on Yelp and have to agree with all reviewers that she is a delight to work with! Ultra professional, ethical, communicative. My husband and I were looking for a part time nanny for our special needs child. Nicola presented us with qualified options, and although our first choice of nanny didn't work out (she was in an accident and had to take a leave of absence), Nicola was able to secure a replacement temp nanny. We eventually hired a nanny we found on Care.com. However, Nicola was involved in that process, helping us interview, do background checks, set up the employment agreement, etc. I highly recommend the Nanny Matchmaker! read more

Nicola is amazing! We started working together in January, I had been working for a family for five years and was looking for a new FT family as both kids had started school full time. She took the time to really listen and understand what I was looking for, and matched me with the most wonderful family that I've now been with for 4 months. I would recommend her to any family/ nanny looking for the exact right fit. read more

The Nanny Matchmaker has for ever changed my life! Nicola reached out regarding a family back in 2016. This October 2020, makes 4 years I've been their nanny. I can't thank Nicola enough for connecting us! My kids & their entire family are now my family & I couldn't imagine my life with out them! I even became a live in Nanny for them & it's been one of the best decisions of my life. read more

I worked for Ashley the other night as a nanny for a family who had to attend a wedding. Ashley was super helpful getting me all the information I needed, and the family was amazing, very sweet and grateful, and the little boy was so much fun. It's apparent that Ashley carefully selects the nanny's she hires based on quality, experience and education, but it is also apparent that she selects her families carefully as well. I would happily work for Ashley's service anytime and highly recommend them as a quality service. read more

Where to start! Nicola is so different than any other agency in Los Angeles, I was referred to her from a mom friend who found the perfect manny from Nicola, so when my family needed a nanny we reached out. This agency is all about detail and making that perfect match while still being transparent. I have hired other agencys before who push candidates on you, you go through the motions interviewing them even though they don't look like a good fit. Then when you tell the agency it is not what you are looking for they ghost you or go for the hard sell how amazing this person is. I never had that experience here, I was able to give honest feedback and it was welcomed. When a candidate and I had a hiccup during the trial Nicola really stepped up giving me advice on how to work through the situation and connected with the nanny to communicate to them what I needed in the role. She also was a former nanny so when I had a candidate who was not as warm with my children as I needed she let me know some families do not like that, which is not something I ever thought of. Her pricing is beyond reasonable and she put in more hours than anyone I have worked with before to find us the perfect match. read more

We've enlisted in Nicola's help not once, or twice, but on numerous occasions. Our needs are so very specific, as we travel so much for work, and when we're working in town, our hours are erratic and sometimes insane. We needed childcare that was tailored not only to our lifestyle but also to our parenting philosophy. Nicola was so patient with us and we always felt as though we were her first priority. I would recommend her service to anyone in need of childcare. Sometimes she felt like more of a therapist than anything else! She's worth it! read more

I met Nicola through a friend. She was able to find me the perfect placement and I couldn't be happier. She is very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend her and her services. read more

Was added to this agency last minute and they found me a job within 24 hours!!!!! I was extremely impressed and very grateful. The family that they matched me with are wonderful people and I truly thank them for making my employment transition a smooth and enjoyable one! Nicola and Ashley are very nice and attentive to your needs and one of them is usually always available to talk with you at a moments notice if you need something. Only thing I would say which is true I'm sure for any nannying position, is that you are required to pay for a background check that garners a very hefty fee...$131 in total. Definitely be expecting to pay this when you sign up and make sure you have the money so that there are no surprises. However, the girls were very flexible and kind to me regarding the payment and I am a very satisfied employee! I have already recommended them! read more

Nanny Matchmaker is amazing! I was looking for a part-time nanny gig that provided me at least 10 hours a week and they ended up matching me with the perfect family. I found my current nannying placement through Nanny Matchmaker LA, and must express how much gratitude I have for their support and guidance along that process. I found the perfect family who fit my lifestyle and beliefs- all down to the food the kids put in their mouths. It's so important to find the mutual life goals when becoming a nanny to make the position enjoyable, and everlasting. I had so much trouble just aimlessly applying on Care.com and found the job hunt tiring and unfulfilling when I would nanny for families 1-2 times and never want to return. Through the guidance of Nanny Matchmaker LA, I was able to meet with their team member Ashley one-on-one and gain an understanding of the family's goals as well as share my own. Nicola also has such a warm, caring way of checking in with me every once in a while to make sure the position is everything that I signed up for. If it weren't for them, I would be continuing that aimless search and I am so grateful for that feeling to be over. Thank you so much Nanny Matchmaker LA!! :) read more

I had trouble finding a sitter/nanny who would work the very odd hours of 8-9am, M-F so that my husband and I could go to the gym together. I turned to NM LA and spoke to Ashley who managed to find me a number of great options and we ended up using all of them, depending on their schedules, and each one was great! I didn't have to interview a single sitter/nanny myself and each suited our needs perfectly. I highly recommend this service! read more

I have been with Nanny Matchmakers from the beginning. These two amazing ladies, Ashley & Nicola used to baby sit for my 2 boys. In fact they were really the only people other than family that I trusted with them. They were patient~engaging and went above and beyond anytime they helped me out. If they had down time dishes got done, my kitchen was organized and children's toys were put away. I didn't EXPECT any of this~ but all mommies know~ it's pretty freaking awesome to come home to this. Now I live in Woodland Hills and I have no sitters close by~ so who did I call when I needed someone? My good old Nanny Matchmakers!!!!! I got a great sitter that lives really close by and she was fantastic with my 15 month old. I am a stay at home mom so right now I don't need a nanny but if I did I know they would get me the perfect match. If you need a sitter or a nanny I am HIGHLY CONFIDENT that you will NOT be disappointed with this service. read more
