New takeaway salad bar right opposite Eastgate shopping centre and close to the train station. It looks appealing from the outside, crisp white tiles and marble like benchtops. They offer smoothies, coffees, breakfast, salads, make your open salads (well choose) and wraps. Certainly everything is very healthy and fresh.
I went with the make your own option; you pay, then move to the salad counter and they mix you 2 lettuce/spinach choices and 6 salad options (for example; corn, onion, fetta, sweet potato, mushroom STC). You get one protein addition (steak, chicken, Haloumi, falafel - which they cook on the spot), plus one of 5 salad dressings (vinaigrette, Dijon, ranch etc). Approx $12.50 for the salad total
There is a breakfast menu that has breakfast burgers, acai bowls, breakfast salad, muesli etc.
As for drinks, there's coffee, some hipster style juices and a selection of fresh smoothies.
It is predominately a takeaway joint, with a few stools at the back. The employees were super nice, and especially a bubbly and very helpful american girl at the salad counter. It was nice, healthy, and a lot of choice. Essentially just a glorified salad bar, but the vibe was nice, and the eastern suburbs health gurus will like it. read more
