The mill is close to Brindley 's birth place and is thought to be largely his original work. It is a fully working water mill and you can see all the mechanism in action. The great thing about this visit is that excellent guides show you around and explain everything well. You need to be able to climb steep stairs. There is a small museum on the top floor about Brindley. He was a pioneering engineer who worked with water in many ways and is celebrated most as the engineer of early English canals. The museum is a bit tired but nonetheless interesting. Well worth a visit. read more
