Was going to award 5 stars after my 1st visit but have decided upon 2.
The menu is ok and reasonably priced and the food of medium standard, the surroundings are modern and comfortable.
As I said at first I was going to award 5 stars after my 1st visit with my wife, mother-in-law and her sister, the food was ok for a pub, the menu tries to be the ritz but the chef is a wanna-be chef, but hey..he tries hard.
Second visit was "Curry night" dragged my business partner there and what a let down, we both opted for the HOT chicken madras with pilau rice OMG, the curry was about as spicey as school custard, the chicken was more like stewed rabbit, the pilau rice was more stodgy than rice pudding and resembled baby sick, tons of cardamon seeds yuk! onion bargies were ok though. £7.95 per head.
We did complain to the waitress who informed us that if we wanted authentic indian food then we should have gone to Kareems Indian in nearby Rhyl!
Oh, don't ask to be moved to a different table......you'd have thought we'd asked the waitress for a threesome by the dirty looks!
Overall......Kareems it is then! read more
