What really sold my husband was when he threw out his back shovelling snow a couple years ago. It happened in early afternoon on a Saturday. I phoned Dr. McGinnis' office and the answering machine had an emergency phone number. I called the emergency number and it was Dr. McGinnis who answered. He asked a few questions about the type of pain my husband was in and what kind of mobility he had. He then decided it had to be dealt with that night. Here is the kicker - it was Saturday night, there was a raging snowstorm going on (hence the hubby trying to keep caught up on the snow shovelling) and Dr. McGinnis, who lives in Edmonton, drove out to Sherwood Park to meet us at his clinic. The clinic was locked up but he met us there, let us in and treated my husband. He told my husband that if he hadn't had it adjusted right away, he would have taken a few weeks to recover versus a few days. The adjustment worked and my husband has been a fan of chiropractic care in general, and Dr. McGinnis in particular. I've referred several people to this clinic over the years and no one has ever had anything negative to say.

I made the appointment on recommendation of a friend who is also a patient of hers. I booked an appointment for my son just because he has a bit of a weaker immune system. The office is spacious and clean, with a large seating area with comfy chairs and an awesome plush carpet. My son couldn't resist taking a role across it plush carpet. They offer several services including chiropractic services message, acupuncture and physiotherapy. Despite the appointment being delayed a half hour I left her office feeling satisfied with the visit. Dr. Khamba really took the time to listen and asked the questions that needed to be asked. What she recommended were some simple vitamins and probiotics. She also recommended a food sensitivity test called IgG. Which I will let you all know is not covered by my health insurance plan and is a wee bit pricey. (Although well worth it from what I can tell from my research) Above all I really got the sense that she cares about her clients and has a passion for what she does. If you're considering becoming more proactive about your health I would definitely recommend a visit with Dr. Khamba. Her approach is mainly diet based. No voodoo snake oil stuff here. My friend who has a gazillion allergies and suffers from eczema and frequent illnesses has seen huge improvements in her health since seeing Dr. Khamba. And what's crazy folks even her eye sight has improved. I'm talking needing a new prescription for her glasses better. I hope my son will have a similar experience.

After two sessions this week he suggested I get a massage (as I hadn't had one for a "few" years). I had a knot in my lower back that just wouldn't listen to his care. So Wednesday morning I called into their office and got in to see Keziah that afternoon. OH MY GOD!! She was awesome!!! Although Dr Fleck recommended all the massage therapists in his office, I was able to get her in short notice. It was the best deep tissue massage I ever had and she knew exactly how much pressure to apply. Where to apply it and for how long. I was able to dance my way out of the office that afternoon and still moving perfectly today. Because of Keziah I'll be able to golf on Friday with no concerns. So if anyone wants a recommendation for a massage therapist contact Baseline Chiropractic and Wellness Center and asked for Keziah Ragui. And a recommendation for a chiropractor would be Dr. Fleck.
