My wife set up the appointment all seemed well. My wife asked me her husband to come up to the studio since she did not want to be there alone with a stranger doing these photos. I was refused entrance, the lady said that it was policy no men. I explained that there was nothing on the site about that , that your client that is spending $1000.00 to get this done wants her husband there with her , she refused. no refund no nothing .she said it was in the policy. I have read the whole website for this location nothing on the site. will not recommend to anyone, the level of service there is poor. We are paying a lot of money to get this done the client is the one that truly make the decisions. They say they go out of there way to make the client comfortable. As you can see that is not correct This is the wife typing now. as she says for every ones safety, my husband did bring shoes to me and he was able to just walk in, he rang the door bell after opening the door and was at the door to the dressing room before Jill met him there. NOT AS SAFE AS SHE SAYS. She states that she asked me multiple of times am i sure if i wanted to finish. I had make up and hair already done, and dressed to go. I knew my husband automatically did not like her as soon as he talked to her, I should have just said no , but didn't want to be rude and just walk out. She only asked my 1 time after i called my husband and asked if it was ok to stay. she states 4-5 times which was incorrect. We have requested a refund.and will be going to Hawt Shots to get them done now. better pricing and can get all your digital photos. yes after the 100.00 discount and the 100 we spent on the shoot plus the 584.00 which was very close to 784.00 so yes close to 1000.00 spent, don't let this person fool you with how she responded. I love how she is having people from other states trying to talk bad about me and to post nice stuff about her. I should post the ever so RUDE emails she has posted and proof that she was trying to cheat us out of money that we had paid for with the groupon that was included as part of the session. Like a fee of 275 for the session oops looks like that was part of the groupon. Like 125 for make up Ooops again. Part of the groupon. And for Bob. I originally was searching for a Groupon deal for a boudoir shoot for a gift for my husband for our first wedding anniversary. After several companies came up in the search, and I personally viewed their website, team and services, I looked into everything I would like including price, samples of photo sessions, and other accommodations that would make me feel like it was worth it all the way around. The Boudoir Beauty ended up being a final choice for me. I saw it was an all lady team which made me comfortable but also they would know as a woman what I'd be interested in. The Groupon was the initial purchase. After making a booking set, I was anxious to participate. Showing up, it was very personable. Wine was offered (with my Groupon), and the makeup artist was sweet and talented. Loved the airbrush work she did, and was instantly excited to get to it! Jill was great explaining the contract, and going over what works with the Groupon and a la carte items. Jill is super amazing! Made it fun to pose, and even more fun for some silly moments that you have to try to create for that shot. All in all, I left smiling and super excited. Once a few weeks went by, she was in touch with me once I emailed on a possible update. Jill was right on top of my information. She emailed promptly back an update. She kept in touch with me immediately when my photos were ready, and even set up the viewing available online, which was so convenient! Once my photos were chosen, Jill again was on top of any updates or issues that arose with any images or questions I had. I bought the phone app, which my husband loves and I recommend to anyone choosing The Boudoir Beauty!!! My husband loves that he has a personal viewing at the convenience of his phone ;) . I had a wonderful experience at The Boudoir Beauty! I purchased a Group-On that included a photo shoot with three outfit changes, hair and make-up, and a credit towards purchasing pictures. However, there are several package deals available directly through The Boudoir Beauty, so I think my total came out about the same. I will admit it is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. I'm sure I could have found a cheaper and closer place; the Boudoir Beauty is located across Houston from where I live, but the quality of their pictures made the drive and price worthwhile. Unfortunately, I got sick the day before the shoot. When Jill called to confirm my appointment, I admitted I wasn't feeling good but I still planned to make it. She offered to reschedule, but I was not able to rearrange my schedule so I stuck it out. I'm so glad I did! You would never know looking at my pictures that I was fighting a cold. They came out gorgeous! So much so that I'm considering purchasing additional pages for my book. Regarding the actual shoot, I'm a pretty open person so I didn't have any shyness issues to overcome, but I'm sure Jill could have put a nun at ease. She walked me through each pose and took her time to reset and reshoot a picture if she through something did not look right. She definitely has an eye for finding beauty through the camera! When I finally decided to get pictures taken for my hubby, I did not hesitate to contact The Boudoir Beauty. I did a TON of research on places that take these kinds of photos and The Boudoir Beauty was THE BEST!!! I think the prices are absolutely amazing for the quality and professionalism you receive. Raquel does an AMAZING job with makeup and hair (it is totally worth the extra money to have it done).....I am very particular with my makeup, but I was blown away when she turned me around...I transformed from a mom with 2 young children into this sexy beautiful woman. The truth be told, I was a bit nervous about standing in front of a stranger half naked, but my fears were put to rest as soon as I met my photographer. She was the sweetest, most professional photographer and made me feel so empowered, beautiful and sexy. She guided me through the pose after pose and I actually felt as though I was a supermodel on a Victoria's Secret catalogue. She made the process so simple and fun that I was actually bummed when my session was over. When it came time to view my photos I was again nervous. I came into The Boudoir Beauty to do a surprise shoot for my fiance. It...was...awesome!!!! I was initially super nervous but Jill, the Photographer, showed me around the different sets and talked me through how the shoot would go. (Nerves settling down a little). From there, Raquel, the hair and makeup artist, went to work! I don't typically wear makeup so I was a little scared at first, but Raquel was very confident and the end result was fabulous; better than I could have even imagined. (Nerves completely gone by this point and couldn't wait to get started!) I chose a rustic type set, and two different bed sets, with a different outfit for each. Jill was amazing at explaining the poses and facial expressions (my biggest fear...you mean I can't have the "duck face" in each picture?) Posing for any professional pictures is usually uncomfortable anyway but Jill made the experience fun and I never felt the least bit self-conscious. In fact, i got more confident with each photo she took! the variety of albums was really great and the ability to do a payment plan was really convenient. These women are incredible at what they do!!! If you have any apprehensions these ladies will have you feeling like you're "besties" in no time. You should defiantly opt for hair and make-up as the artist and photographer know what the camera sees vs. what the human eye sees, give them free reign and just go with the shoot. Recommendations....Do go with an open mind, hydrated, and rested. Do remember when you are choosing your ensemble(s) to put them together from the jewelry, the garments, to footwear before you go. It is best to try on and bag items together before so you know exactly where every piece of your outfit is. I am generally very organized, but I could have done better by having every piece of every outfit packaged together. While she will help you with those pesky-hard to get to snaps, claps, and hooks...time is short and it moves very quickly, so the more comfortable you are with all aspects of your wardrobe the more prepared, relaxed, and able to follow instructions you will be. She has more settings and backdrops than are shown on the website, while the website gives you a good idea, I would say to choose your outfits to your personality and have an idea on the sets you like, but be open to the ones you have not seen. My wife went to The Boudoir Beauty several months ago. It was a great experience. The owner was a professional and really made my wife feel welcome. I spoke to Jill many times about planning the session and about our order. Pricing was clear and on the website so we had that up front. She was top notch. We had an issue with the book because the printer printed a page upside down. Jill assured us she would take care of it and she did. The misprint was no bad reflection on her. I just read the guys negative review and want to say that i see right through it. Man to man, I would understand my not being able to stay. He went off half cocked and blasted her because he threw a temper tantrum. Then he poses as his wife and says it is her. Anyone who has worked with this company knows she does not behave this way. I also see that "the wife" says she asked to stay and continued the shoot. If it was as he says why would he tell her it is ok to stay and then upon her phone call have to consider the refund. What are you refunding. You had a choice and you decided to go through and now you want a refund and also bash with another companies name and pricing which clearly was a choice to begin with as both are on Groupon. read more

I set up an appointment for last week. I decided to go with this studio because of all the positive reviews. I also am quite shy, so I liked the fact that they keep the studio to just women. I would not want other couples waiting around while I was getting my photos done. I really appreciated that fact that this rule was in place. The makeup was great. I loved my false lashes. I brought in extra outfits so I could get the photographers opinion. She was so helpful and made me feel comfortable. She only took photos of me that I wanted to show. I wanted to look great but know I need to work on my tummy area. She told me it was no problem. She showed me all the poses before I did them, which was so helpful. I am so excited to see the outcome. Overall super great experience. I just wanted to also say keep your chin up. You do a great job and I had the time of my life!!!!! Don't listen to the crazy people. I had my session because of your work and you don't allow men in the studio. It is obvious what is going on and people will see through it. My bridesmaids and 3 of my friends had a session with The Boudoir Beauty while I was in town for my bachelorette party. I had the best time. From start to finish, it was a great experience. The makeup and hair looked great. I really loved the personal attention that I received from the photographer. She helped me pick my sets that would match the best with my outfits. She was open to what I wanted and was very creative. It was definatley not cookie cutter poses. She was knowledgable, very talented and put me at ease. I loved the all female staff. I read other reviews of other studios where they would only do certain poses. Not here. They did an amazing job. The whole thing was a total blast. The communication was excellent. Phone calls and emails were returned by the staff promptly. I loved all the images that I saw. I could not narrow them down. I ended up adding 20 pages to my album! I visited the Boudoir Beauty yesterday. I was very nervous on the drive over but once I arrived and was greeted at the door by a friendly face I started to feel a little better. The studio is beautiful and very private. Although there was another client there when I arrived we were kept separate to maintain confidentiality. My visit started with hair and makeup. The artist did a wonderful job, I felt beautiful. I am 52 and have never been comfortable with myself. My photographer helped me to pick outfits, set choices and poses. I left everything to her discretion because she is the professional. She made me feel like I was a shining star, she made me feel beautiful.... I cannot wait to see the final product!! I had a great experience. I arrived 20 minutes early and was told that the makeup artist would not be there until 9:30. I was told I could wait in the studio while Jill set up or I could go run an errand. The makeup was great. I appreciated the fact that the photographer tried to get my sets up prior to my shoot time. She showed me a few pictures of what the sets could look like. Once the session was started, I was nervous at first. I was quickly put to ease. Jill was so easy going and really calmed my nerves. I see a reviews made by actual clients, but I am here to share my experience as the recipient of thier work ie. Husband of thier client. I will keep this brief, obviously I was attracted to my wife when we met and through our first few years of marriage. But lets be honest after 2 kids and 10 years later, that feeling kind of dulled. But after seeing her photoshoot that same "attraction" resufaced (like a brick to the face) and totally reminded me how smoking hot she really is. She looked even better than those models you see on night club magazines. What a fabulous experience! I was a bit worried about doing boudoir photography as it is way out of my character and comfort zone, but these ladies know what they are doing, give you 100% attention, and the proof is in the photos. I don't wear makeup and was glad to have a makeup artist like Raquel to know what looks good and photographs well. The hair was done to perfection, too. The photographer, Jill, was so fun to work with. She made me feel comfortable, confident, and gorgeous with each photo. Jill was able to take a quick look at what I brought to wear, and with her "artist's eye" we choose the sets that I liked and most complimented my "wardrobe" colors and my personality. From beginning to end this was a great experience. The make-up and hair person was young and understood what I meant about my pictures being artistic-- I gave her creative freedom in doing my make-up and hair and she did an amazing job. I talked with the owner/ photographer and she was personable and very sweet. I told her what I was looking for in the shoot and I had never had my pictures professionally taken except for my wedding. I had a great experience! Would do it again. When my photos were ready for viewing, my husband and I went to the studio and she was extremely patient while we discussed what we wanted to pick out. My best friend and I came into town to have her bachelorette party. We decided to all do a boudoir shoot. I had the best time. We got our hair and makeup done too. I was so impressed with the level of service here. The makeup artist was great. I loved the variety of sets I could choose for my outfits. Not boring or plain Jane like other studios we checked out. These ladies are so awesome!! I did this as a gift for my finance and was so unsure of how I would be able to pull it off... I left there feeling like a super model!!!! The atmosphere is so inviting and professional. I never in a million years imagined I would be as comfortable as I was during my photo session. My new husband saw a deal they were running, so we thought we would give it a try. This was a far stretch for me, as I am an older woman who just got remarried. Being 57, I was really nervous about how I would look in such sexy pictures at my age. Boy was I surprised! From start to finish these ladies were top notch. My photographer was very nice and really knew her stuff. I keep thinking how is this going to look but she reassured me. My friend and I came into town for her bachelorette party. She was having her bridal boudoir done here. I decided last minute through all the other girls urgings to have a shoot too. I would never do this in a million years. I have to say I was so amazed and glad I did. Everything was perfect from the hair and makeup to the photos.
