On the day of the shoot I dropped her off a little early at the studio 8-27-14. Keep in mind NO MALES are allowed in the studio for the session. I had no problem with that because I wanted to be surprised to see the photos when I get them. They are an all female staff to help ease any resevations you may have and remember no extra bodies are allowed in during the session. This is her time. After wards, I asked my wife how did the photo shoot go? She had nothing but praise about the whole thing. From the time she walked in to the end of the 2 hr shoot. Everyone was very professional. Jill the photographer kept things upbeat and fun for her. They really made her feel special. When I went back to pick her up she was still all dolled up from the session. She looked amazing. This was my first ever boudoir photo session so I went in with confidence in her abilities but some…read moredoubt as to mine. We first sat down and discussed all the different albums and packages they offer. I chose a large album, a fold-out pocket sized album, and a digital album for portable devices, all as gifts to my husband. We then went over my outfits and accessories, and decided which sets we'd use. She has about four stylishly furnished bedrooms and a few chaises and settees and I chose my two fav sets. Next we moved on to hair and makeup. I LOVED WHAT SHE DID with it all!!! She has shoes, stockings, etc for rent to finish off any look. I picked some seriously sexy black 7" pumps that I'd never buy for myself, but honestly I can't see any other shoe being as perfect as they were. The actual photo session was so much fun. She has a way of coaching and encouraging, coupled with such vision and inspiration, that I very quickly got lost in the moment and the shoot became an exhilarating, liberating, sultry, beautiful experience. The time flew by so fast. I had one wardrobe change, but already knew I'd be wanting to do this again at some point, with a few more colorful, more risqué outfits. By the time the session ended I was pretty tired and sore from posing just so, but I knew I was going to be pleased with my proofs. Well, "pleased" is not the right word. When I received my gallery of proofs via email to review and select my favorites, I simply couldn't do it. I loved every single shot!! I had my sisters, my aunt, my BFF, and my two adult daughters help me decide. They were stunned speechless by how fantastic the photos all were. I needed to narrow my choices to about 18 photos for the largest album I'd picked out; I never could get it down to less than about 36! In the end I decided to buy the entire digital catalog of photos she took that day. I'm just so proud of how they turned out! And I've already discussed doing another photo shoot with her next year. I give her highest marks and endless thanks for making it a day to remember, and giving me such perfect photos. I'll treasure them always!!

Sontera took boudoir photos of me for my husband's Christmas gift last year and it was the best…read moregift ever! He absolutely loved them and I love going back and looking at myself too. I am not very good at looking and feeling sexy. Sontera made it super simple. We started with my make up and she was very good at suggesting how to sit, stand, look to get a good shot. I didn't even recognize myself in some of the pictures! After the shoot we met again to review the pictures and decide which pictures would be in the book I purchased. Sontera is very easy going and makes you feel totally at ease. Which was a huge deal since I was taking my clothes off in front of her moments after we met!

I was not in a very body-positive mindset the evening before and even walking into the studio the day of, but that quickly changed as I talked with Julia and her team. My nerves calmed when Laura started on my makeup, and Kendall handed me a glass of champagne. Leading up to the photoshoot, I received several emails with information regarding their downtown warehouse loft location right across from Minute Made Park and parking. They also included how to best prepare for the shoot--from what to wear, skincare suggestions, and where to buy high-quality lingerie if I didn't already have some. The email sent the day before let me know the timeline and everything that would take place that day. Their excellent communication certainly helped me relax before the big day! Laura did a beautiful job on my makeup. I typically wear very natural and light makeup, and it was fun to see the drama she added, so my makeup would stand out for the shoot! I still looked like myself, which was important to me. While Laura did my makeup, Kendall went through the several outfits I had packed and my jewelry to pick out the shoot styles. She and Julia decided to put me in a few pieces from Julia's lingerie line, and they were absolutely stunning! It was wonderful to hand over the final decision making to their team of professionals and relax. Once my hair and makeup were done, I got to see the outfits that had been styled for me, and we started the shoot. Julia demonstrated and talked me through exactly what poses I'd be doing for each shot. She kept saying "gorgeous" or "perfect" with every shot, and it definitely boosted my confidence. By the end of the shoot, we had several stunning photos to choose from, and we sat together to whittle down the choices. This was the most challenging part of the experience, and I was stunned to see myself on the screen. Was that really me? The lighting was stunning. The curves and angles were so feminine and breathtaking. She and her team had managed to bring out the goddess in me, and I couldn't have felt more confident leaving the studio. I will be recommending ShineOn Boudoir to all of my friends. Men and women alike! They also shoot couples, which could be such a fun gift for a birthday or holiday. I just didn't want to waste her time if she is thinking shes doing a shoot which was not the case. So I called left a VM no answer or callback. So the next day I proceeded to go 45 minutes into downtown houston, waiting around the lofts for about 10 minutes called her multiple times and got forwarded and never answered the door to her studio. One of my Other friends who had shown me this boutique had known her personally and reached out, ONLY THEN DID SHE DECIDE to text me some message on how MY appointment got cancelled and if I wanted to reschedule. I think its completely unprofessional to cancel an appointment for a someone and not let them know and just leave them in the dust. if this is how she is even for shopping I cant imagine how unprofessional she is in her other endeavors.
