Beth was both professional and extremely creative, she is an artist!! Her eye for color, composition of florals, and the floral design of our beach wedding was incredible. I gave her some random ideas from Pinterest and she turned them into a romantic expression of my vision. She was patient and supportive, despite my last minute bride energy. Lastly, I'll throw in that after her beautiful planning, my wedding day was rainy, and we had planned a beach ceremony. It was very stormy on the beach, but Beth helped get everything set up perfectly, no florals blew away in the wind, everything was safe and secure. I highly recommend her and would absolutely return to her for another special occasion. Thank you, Beth!!!

Horrible experience from start to finish. We were extremely specific about a custom funeral…read morearrangement and discussed the details directly with the florist, yet communication was poor throughout the entire process. It was one delay after another, with little transparency or follow-through. The arrangement didn't even contain any rare or particularly special flowers to justify the cost, yet we were charged over $600. To make matters worse, it arrived 4 days late--completely unacceptable for a funeral arrangement where timing is everything. This was for a high-profile individual, making the lack of professionalism even more embarrassing. I would strongly caution others before using this florist."

I went into the store to get my wife some flowers. I asked if I could get a particular bloom (note…read more- not "How much does it cost?" Rather, "Could I please get this?"), and the shop owner (Anastasia) said, "They're really expensive. I'm not sure how much. Probably $25 for the stem." Presumably she decided that I must not be able to afford them (I can) and thus was undeserving of service (and basic courtesy) bc I was in my unbranded morning joggers and baseball cap. I recommend she watch Pretty Woman. Dear Anastasia Casale, just because someone is a polite unassuming minority male does not mean they are not doing as well as your customers who peacock their wealth. The kicker, I shared my experience with a few other shop owners in the area and the unanimous consensus "yup that is Anastasia's vibe, not surprised." Took my business elsewhere.

Friendly staff, central location and a great new selection of native plants--lots of choices now!…read moreIt used to be hard to find native plants for sale on the East End (plants like the ones you see happily growing in nature preserves or along hiking trails in the woods). You'd have to order online or search every display table at our local retail outlets, and then check to be sure those are really Long Island locals, attractive to birds, nourishing for pollinators and hardy enough to grow in our mostly sandy or loamy soil. Native plants don't need fertilizers or even much water after they've settled into the right place, so you're not wasting money or resources. Wittendales has clearly labelled "LI Local" pots with blue and yellow stickers (think Swedish flag colors), along with posters, signs, and a binder with plant care tips. If you need help coordinating plants that play well together , I'm told their displays of color coordinated "companion plantings " will change as the growing season progresses. Also, they have reasonable prices!
