Lastly, I'll throw in that after her beautiful planning, my wedding day was rainy, and we had planned a beach ceremony. It was very stormy on the beach, but Beth helped get everything set up perfectly, no florals blew away in the wind, everything was safe and secure. You'd have to order online or search every display table at our local retail outlets, and then check to be sure those are really Long Island locals, attractive to birds, nourishing for pollinators and hardy enough to grow in our mostly sandy or loamy soil. Native plants don't need fertilizers or even much water after they've settled into the right place, so you're not wasting money or resources. Wittendales has clearly labelled "LI Local" pots with blue and yellow stickers (think Swedish flag colors), along with posters, signs, and a binder with plant care tips. If you need help coordinating plants that play well together , I'm told their displays of color coordinated "companion plantings " will change as the growing season progresses.
