We had Lemon Drizzle Cake and coffee outside. Raad nr Foillan path is a couple minutes from the cafe so grab a short walk before or after if you have time. Large piece of chicken and the garlic butter definitely had enough garlic. Came with good fresh vegetables and nice chips. My son seemed to enjoy the chocolate cake. While the service wasn't fast, it was very pleasant. We plan on going again.

Great food but very slow service…read more We were on the last day of a very boozy weekend in the lakes and needed a good breakfast to help us along. We hid from the rain this little cafe and ordered some excellent fry ups. Two of us had the standard English breakfast while Dan went for the large version which contained a serious amount of meat. I really enjoyed mine. The line up was scrambled egg (you get to choose you egg type), sausage, bacon, black pud, beans, tomato, mushrooms, hash brown and toast. My toast could have been more toasted (it was still pretty much bread) but everyone else's looked good so I think it was a blip. I had a latte too which was good. It's waitress service to order but they were not in any rush to come over so if you are hungry I'd suggest heading up to the counter.

The cafe itself is located on an industrial park a few minutes drive from the town centre, which probably means it misses out on a lot of the passing trade from town - however they seem to be very popular with students from the local college. The industrial park itself is not very well signposted unfortunately, but if you look for the block of small buildings with red drainpipes and roofs then you should find the cafe easily. It's welcoming when you walk in - bright and airy, with a comfy sofa by the door and all that day's newspapers to sit and read while you wait for your meal. I'm not sure what other food they do, but the breakfasts alone are worth going for! They serve them all day, and have a variety of different options written up on boards above the till - you can have an absolutely massive 'Trinity' breakfast for about £6, which seems fairly expensive at first until you realise it's HUGE, comes with tea and toast, and will easily fill you up for the rest of the day! It includes the works - bacon, sausage, beans, mushrooms, hash brown, tomato etc etc. You can also have a breakfast bun, or choose your own individual breakfast items in whatever combination you like. Our meals arrived really quickly, brought over by the chef himself who was very friendly. Everything was hot, well cooked and deliciouswell worth the price. When someone isn't happy with the coffee they've just sent out (which tasted great by the way) And spends time fixing it until they feel it's right. And then gives you more coffee! FREE. That's perfection and that is customer service. This is a lovely quaint station house attached to Prescot train station. We only went downstairs which was lovely and cozy and has a toilet. Just as well after two large cups of coffee. The rustic vibe is perfect and the menu looked really good. I could even select vegan options. More of that on my next visit. The staff are lovely polite and engaging. You feel more like part of the family than a customer. Tune in on my next visit. I will venture upstairs and add more photos then.
