Whether it was how many accidents it was in, or the AC only needed a fuse (yeah right) or major transmission issues. I had enough and took a ride over to Northport Motors to look at a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was by far the smoothest riding car out of the 7 I tried before. Yes it was a little bit more money then the private sales but I know if I saved a little on the front end I would have been paying a lot more on the back end. You will not have that problem here. Shane was forthcoming about any little thing that might have been wrong with this car (like the driver side windshield sprayer was clogged...no biggie). The purchase process was no hassle, no BS, plus they do all the DMV transaction for you. In addition to the purchase price there was a $299 dealer prep fee but for what they did to the car and how it looked the day we picked it up it was well worth it. The detail job it came with was second to none. Shane also helped us out with getting us connected to "his guy" so we could purchase a second key at a really nice rate. Ok, flash forward a week. The car is still looking great and driving nice but we did have an issue with something. I contacted Shane and he said bring it right in and we will look into it. He had to order a part and keep the car two days but he was in constant contact with me and made sure the car was 100% good to go after the fix. THIS is why I was so glad I didn't buy from a private sale person because once you hand over the money and take the keys any issue is on you. Not here at Northport Motors, they stand by their cars. I highly recommend you look at Shane's inventory on their website. If you see something you like head on over and pick it up. The easiest buying experience I ever had.

There was absolutely no sales double talk, she was consistent throughout the entire buying process, and it was a same day purchase. She had everything moving rapidly, she worked very hard to earn these 5 stars, for sure. A great young lady with the most excellent personality unlike any car salesperson I've met before, and I've bought a lot of cars in the last 50 years. Her patience was above and beyond. Let me add that unlike others in this business, she knew her products. I couldn't stump her, not that I was trying, but she satisfied all of our concerns. To finalize our deal, she called on her manager Brandon. Now there's quite a gentleman. There was none of that "where would you like to be at monthly", or "what works best for you?". There was no script. He did something most managers in dealerships never do, he listened to us, and just a few minutes later, we made a deal. Shocking, I know. This dealership has a great model, a model that other dealerships could learn a lot from and most especially, treating clients with concern, and respect and giving them 100% of their attention when they are speaking with you. At the end it was time to meet the "devil", the finance manager! Well, once again, we were surprised. Kazim, like Brandon and Gabriella was friendly and got our paperwork done with no gimmicks, hidden fees, or any other games finance plays when you sit down. The process was seamless. Of course, he recommended something I would advise anyone to add to their purchase, and that's tire and wheel protection, unfortunately I declined because I hadn't used it on my last purchase, in hindsight, maybe I should have taken it. But again, there was no pressure sales from Kazim, no pushing, just good advice. I have to say that we were very happy with the price we were given, it was more than fair, but it is not the only reason that I would return to this dealership, it was just part of the entire package. DON'T GO TO ACURA OF BAY SHORE!!!!…read more Customer Service is very poor in the service departmen at Acura of Bay Shore . When I asked to speak to a manager, because of a couple of ongoing problems with my vehicle, I was taken to the manager's office. The manger stood up with hands on his hips and was rude with an instant attitude. He was a very big tall man and tried to intimidate me with his stature. . Nothing was resolved. Till this day I'm still having the same issues with my vehicle: 1LOUD NOISE IN FRONT OF CAR 2. CANNOT CONNECT DEVICE TO PLAY MUSIC 3. EVERYDAY OR EVERY OTHER DAY TIRE PRESSURE IS LOW. Acura told me my rotors needed to be replaced. (They said this after I took my vehicle there several times) for the same noise. The first time I told Acura of Bayshore about the issue, they claimed they did not hear anything. Now all of a sudden it's my rotors. I went to another dealer and an outside mechanic and both said nothing was wrong with brakes tires or rotors. Acura of Bayshore have been running me around for almost a year and they're -not even trying to fix the loud noise that's coming from my car or any other issues pertaining to my SUV. I still have my warranty and they are not honoring it. Acura of Bay Shore appears to be very shady and unprofessional, and I still need my vehicle fixed. I purchased my car there almost a year ago and they think they can tell me anything and send me on my way. I spent money on tire warranty and warranties for my vehicle. They look for issues that I have to spend money on. Even then I don't belive them. Make it make sense

That is when my search led me to Novak Motors. They had great reviews and seem to have a large stock of mint Grand Cherokees. I dealt with a salesperson named Anna who was a pleasure. She was super responsive and closed the deal over the phone and email and I had the car the next day. By the way, their showroom is immaculate! All of their cars are indoor. It looks more like someones private car collection. Their financing rates were on par with all of the local dealers. Bonus: they provide a lifetime powertrain warranty at no additional charge. Frank, the finance guy, was super nice and there was no high pressure up sell on anything though an additional bumper-to-bumper warranty was offered Side note: Remember I bought the car sight unseen so i asked them to do a walk around on the car and note any issues. When I picked it up I noticed a minor paint issue on the bumper that should have been disclosed. Mike the manager came out and immediately said he would have it repaired. I was pleasantly surprised.
