You'll find everything from Japanese writing and culture to American war documents, along with fascinating historical materials. There were even vintage Pocatello postcards and books featuring famous photographers like Edward Weston. They also host open mic nights, which feels so friendly and community oriented. Honestly we didn't even see a single employee while we were there, but we had a lovely time wandering wherever we wanted and exploring the space. It can be a little overwhelming but to me it makes it all the more fun to look around. I found this incredible Capote hardback biography as well as two Eudora Welty special edition books! Those are just the ones I bought. I was browsing for about 40 minutes and then worked up the courage to bug the owner and it was worth it Will Peterson was born and raised in Idaho and actually has two books out and working on a third! He commented on my book buys (the capote biography, two Welty novels, and an Agatha Christie) and the conversation went to Mississippi gothic writing, scotch vs whiskey, and yes I told him he had some harsh yelp reviews! And I gotta say all of these reviews that are mean I don't understand if you want an experience and truly love books, you will have a fantastic time here. 5 books for 35$ and they will stay in my collection forever

When I need help they are very willing to help me search a title, or if they don't have it they can order the book I need. Each month they have a book group discussion, and a silent book group as well on a different night. Their website winnieandmos.com has these and other events listed. They do host lots of other events, but I have limited myself to the book discussion group. I might just attend their open mike night to see what others are creating. The shop is quaint, cozy, and full of books. There is even a play area for kids that has two stories so kids can climb a safe set of stairs and look down upon the book area.

That's my dream used bookstore! I want to be able to just wander and look for myself, and when I need help, to have someone be available to help me. I don't need my hand held in a used bookstore. I also had no issue with the debit card except that she said the fee for processing would be added. They are a small bookstore; it's within their right and their survival to have policies like this and I've encountered that policy and other mom and pop stores as well. It was an hour of pure bliss for me. This bookstore is well stocked and the prices are great! Used books in perfect condition on the shelves next to new copies, so very affordable to those on a budget who, like me, intend to walk out with a stack, not just a single title. While I was in browsing heaven, I realized my phone was nearly out of charge (checking my Goodreads TBR did that ). No problem! The bookstore employee plugged my phone in behind the counter, unplugging one of his own devices to make this possible. I cannot recommend this bookstore highly enough. There were benches and cozy chairs, and the most adorable child-sized reading nook in the children's area. I briefly wished to be eight years old again. I'm looking forward to our next visit to the Jackson - Tetons area. This will be my first stop.
