I love the ethos of the body shop and what they're trying to do and were very much a pioneer in this regard many years ago before other companies jumped on the environmental issues bandwagon. The shop itself in Chester is very sweet and nicely sized and spaced out, with the staff always willing to help, but it's just the location of it that makes me sigh. I know where it is, but if I was a visitor to Chester unless I asked someone the way, I'd struggle to come across it. It may be in a shopping precinct but unless you carry on walking down one of the avenues that lead off from the main part of the precinct itself you won't find it. So that's a shame, but if in doubt ask the way.
The products they sell are just lovely. I'll admit that my favourite range is the cocoa butter range and they sell lots of my favourite products in lovely gift ideas and gift baskets at Christmas time so will make a great gift for others..or just yourself !! There was a time when you paid that little bit more for Body Shop porducts but I'd say that the prices are pretty much in comparison with most other highstreet type beauty outlets these days so you don't need to pay more to do 'your bit' these days.
All in all, it's a lovely shop for everyday beauty products and gifts etc, it's just a shame that it's in a more remote position than most other precinct stores. read more
