Alhonna or the now renamed Blue Cat, due to the resorts influence on 'Ozark,' is an old, non-imposing 1950's lake joint. Its a favorite of locals and fishermen. Its the epitome of a greasy diner. Your runny eggs (even ordered medium well) and your paper thin bacon will be served with tator tots for a little midwestern flare! Worth a visit but don't set expectations high. read more

So, I stopped by to eat dinner and I quickly decided against it. Here is why: I sat at the bar and ordered a beer. The bartender used the guest check book to wipe down the bar. I asked if he has a sanitizer towel to wipe down the bar because the flu is going around. He said no. I then watched him rub his face and nose with his hand. He then grabbed three plastic cups with the same hand to make Vegas Bombs. He grabbed the plastic cups by the inside with his fingers deep into the cups. No one washes their hands. A great ozark experience. Off the beaten path but near the lake a great stop for appetizers and ordering their special. A stocked bar with a variety of beers and cocktails. Non smoking establishment that I think is great when visiting the lake. Prior to me visiting this place got hit or miss reviews from my friends but I would say give it a try. I was a huge fan of the meatball sliders they were large meatballs with a homemade marinara. The wings have a choice of flavors and are crispy fried a plus for my husband he loves the crunch. Make sure if you are wanting to stop in for a bite you check the days open they are closed Sunday, Monday, Tuesday. read more

My wife and in-laws stopped by The Blue Cat last night. We were very disappointed with the service and the food as well (sorry Majorie)! Not only did my wife's club sandwich arrive after the other three of us were done eating, the avocado on it was frozen and the sandwich was cold. Then the biggest problem of all, the bill came to $146! One of the charges was for $77 for her sandwich. Obviously, that was incorrect and they had to correct the bill. We haven't been there all summer and I guess we won't be back. read more

Our first time here. We had a large group and everyone loved their food. My steak was cooked perfectly by Ryan and the sautéed veggies were excellent. G was attentive and fun. Definitely bringing more friends here soon. read more

Gave two stars only because the food was decent once we finally got it. Three tables seated plus some bar patrons. One table was done eating and the other left before getting their food. Server was too busy chatting with bar patrons. Appetizer sat in the pick up window for 25 minutes and we had to ask the server to get it. Once food came to the window we served ourselves. They just watched and didn't say anything. This bar has definitely taken a turn for the worse since new ownership. read more

Nice local tavern. Owner is friendly and environment is fun. Food is ok. Typical bar food. The Thursday night fried chicken is a favorite. I highly recommend it. read more
