After meeting with several local companies we went with Chad and Keli at Strait because of their initial approach to customer service. They also offered a more turnkey experience instead of subbing out the various elements of the remodel. Everything from Keli's design suggestions and account management were great. When working with contractors communication is key. Clear communication is important for all parties involved and this is one of Strait's strengths. They proactively kept us in the loop on all timelines and flagged potential delays and offered solutions. This is a company you want to work with! Now on to the actual work. The hardwood floors in our new home are STUNNING. We love all of the materials Keli suggested and they look beautiful in our home. Every detail in the home was well thought out and the bathrooms that Strait created are also gorgeous. Straits work from the floors to the bathrooms and blinds was excellent. Since then, Linda & Ed Bauer have given special attention to every room in our house, one way or another, bar none. This includes beautiful draperies in the dining room and very special draperies in one of the bedrooms. The latter are "re-purposed" purple velour which was removed from the Port Angeles Elks Ballroom when it was remodeled (Bauer Interiors did their new draperies). Everyone that sees them is totally impressed. Bauer's are responsible for Venetian blinds throughout the house. When one of them malfunctions, which is not often, Ed is always there to adjust it. I can't imagine anyone ever being disappointed with the treatment they get at Bauer Interiors...neither Linda nor Ed would allow it! Highly recommended!

I originally was going to replace only two sets of hated vertical blinds...but Laurajean's selection caused me to "upgrade" to doing all of the windows in my town home (all of the other window treatments were builder's grade vinyl mini-blinds. Harrison Street is easy to work with...and fast delivery!'' There was a problem from the manufacturer with the width of a few of the blinds...and another manufacturer's problem with imperfections in the weave of one set of blinds for a patio slider. Laurajean and her installer (husband) Jim took care of everything to my satisfaction. Be sure to hold your sample up to the light - some of the blinds aren't as "view blocking" as I expected from the outside when the inside lights are on, but fortunately my town home is situated where there's next to no foot traffic passing by those windows.
