As soon as we arrived, we were absolutely starving. Since this restaurant was close to the hotel lobby, we opted to try this spot. There was no one at the front desk and I neglected to see the signs that said that we had to wait to be seated. Finally, we figured it out when a nice tourist said something to us and we were able to get scanned in and seated. Once we sat down, we ordered sopes and the white omelet. The food took forever. Luckily, I was able to snack on some fruit while I waited. I also had the multigrain bread from the bread station and this was super crumbly and dry :(. We ordered some mimosas, which were more juice than champagne. When our food finally came, the omelet was under seasoned and had an over abundance of mushroom, which was the main ingredient that you can taste and overpowered the rest of the dish. Feeling underwhelmed at this point, we checked out. We were told that this place is 24/7 and we went back before our early flight because this was the only place open. We came here for lunch on a lovely Friday afternoon. The venue is sizeable with plenty of seating, however there is no bar area. Try to get a seat outside... It's not too warm (July 2023), the breeze is pleasant and the views are breathtaking. The staff is friendly and efficient; checked on us frequently without being overbearing or intrusive. The ambiance is simply brilliant! Adult Dranks: ~ Paloma with mezcal - 4/5 I instructed the bartender to use Mezcal instead of Tequila, turned out well... No complaints! ~ Mojito with mezcal - 4/5 A solid mojito... once again substituted with Mezcal, instead of Tequila; refreshing, smooth and smokey. Grub: ~ Clam Chowder - 3/5 It comes in a bread bowl, but the bread is not sourdough. The clam chowder itself was not bad, it tasted OK. There weren't a lot of clams or seafood in it though... disappointing! ~ Seafood Casserole with Pernod - 2/5 Most definitely not worth it... This is not a dish for two people, no matter what the menu says! I could definitely taste the Pernod in there.. Skip this one, save your appetite for your hard earned $$$ and enjoy something else. Not worth it at all! ~ Oaxaca-Style Chicken in Mole Colorado - 2/5 The Mole was fine, nothing great... but then again I'm not a Mole fan. I've never found a mole I loved or thought was amazing. The chicken was overcooked, tough and arduous to cut with a knife. Pass! ~ Peanut Crème Brûlée - 3/5 The taste was fine. It actually tested like Peanut Crème Brûlée. If you are just tired want a quick bite and are just seeking cuisine that sounds appealing, then do yourself a favor and avoid this place. The spouse went with mole Colorado with pollo. Hard to mess this up. The chicken should be soft. This was Flintstone hard. The mole is sweet. Mixed up with tortillas. A first for us and we eat a lot of mole in Mexico. I went half roasted chicken. Nice flavor, light. Pollo was tender for the most part. Did not eat it all. They cook it in corn oil and failed to mention this to someone who has a corn allergy which they were aware off. Anyway this food isnt cheap. Very confident besides the people with kids we were the youngest in there. Let's just say senior bingo should be held there, and say no more. read more

This was our first meal at Pueblo Bonito. The restaurant itself was very cute and loved the setup. The staff was very friendly. I had the chicken mole dish, and I very much enjoyed it! We also had the shrimp cocktail starter, which I honestly would not recommend if you are looking for an authentic shrimp cocktail. It had lettuce in it, which, as we all know, is not a typical ingredient in Mexican shrimp cocktail. This and the fact that the service was slow at times is the only reason I am giving 4 and not 5 stars. Great place overall! read more

This is the only 24-hour restaurant open on the property I discovered. We stopped by for breakfast and enjoyed being able to order off a menu versus a buffet at La Nao. The Popeye burrito was pretty good and filling and I got a side of fruit. Nice service, but I didn't like being bothered by the timeshare salesperson while dining. While it's nice that the restaurant is 24 hours the service we received was terrible. It started with being seated at a dirty table. Place mats and tableware was placed over old dried bits of food. The restaurant was mostly empty and it took 40 minutes to receive our entrees of tacos. The server never stopped in to check on us nor offered an apology for the poor service and ridiculous wait. We were not offered any compensation whatsoever. When the food finally arrived the steak tacos were tiny with very little meat, almost flavorless and dry. No sides at all to accompany the meal. I feel that since the resort went to all inclusive options that they decided to stop caring about the quality of food. Don't go here! This is by far the worst service I have ever received in my entire life. After being sat at a table, we waited over 15 minutes before anyone came to greet us. We tried to wave the host down a few times, but she only told us your waiter will be with you soon, just wait. After taking our order we only saw our waiter when it was time to get the check. He never checked in to see how our food was or if we needed anything else. For the amount of money we paid to stay in this resort and add the all-inclusive plan, this was an embarrassment to this establishment. The thing that really blew my mind is that I saw so many employees standing around, yet no one seemed to be doing their job. You can't beat this place in my opinion. I ate breakfast here every morning on my most recent Cabo trip (6 days in a row!); sitting on the terrace looking out over the ocean. I mixed it up between the eggs benedict, Bistro Chilaquiles, waffles and whatever that dish is they have pictured on the front of the menu - ironically it is not on the menu but they will make it for you. Also had dinner here one night. Got the skirt steak combo which included a popper and burrito - all of it was outstanding. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the service could have been a little better - just slow - and some of the menu is a little misleading (for example it says fresh squeezed juice and it is out of a can). read more

I did not do this as part of an all-inclusive so maybe my service and food was just a little better. We stopped off here late around 9-10pm and was seated after a short wait. The Mexican Chicken soup was clean and hearty. The big chunks of chicken was tender and juicy and they even went through the troubles of removing the fat and skin. It was similar to a Progresso chicken noodle soup, but a little more upscale with red onions and much better seasoning. French Bistro Salad-Nice amount of vinaigrette which douses and not drown the salad. Crispy light and feels healthy all around. The Pork Carnitas- a good proportion and it was a good holdover but wasn't anything special Smoked Chicken Fusilli- Clean-not heavy- The acidity from the tomatoes cuts into the light cream sauce with the garlic and pine nuts giving it a crunchy texture( with a pow in flavor) to keep your palate interested and finished with tender chicken pieces Decent selection at the bar and a good late night option if you are tired of the pizza for delivery read more

Never buy a timeshare! The bistro is a mediocre restaurant and is overpriced. Do not go to any timeshare presentation, your vacation isn't worth the frustration. We own a week at Pueblo Bonito Sunset beach. We unfortunately bought into this scam 15 yrs ago when the resort was not all inclusive. Now they've made it an even worse deal because all the food is overpriced so that we might buy the all inclusive upgrade. If you seriously want a timeshare just buy one on eBay, they are nearly free! Decided to come here out of convenience as the air BnB was close by. I was worried reading the reviews about how poor the service would be but I was not in a hurry. We parked and took the golf cart to the lobby as this restaurant is located below the lobby floor. The eggs Benedict were quite tasty, better than average. The French toast was about average. The coffee was a little weak. The freshly squeezed orange juice was on point. I have to say the service was awesome. Coffee poured as soon as we sat which is very uncommon in Mexico. Recommend coming here for a nice view of the pacific with average to better than average food but found the service to be much better than previously ranked. read more
