The very large screened porch was a favorite place to dine, as the shade kept the summer heat at bay. The air conditioning worked exceedingly well, and the beds were quite comfortable. The master mattress was very firm, so if you need more cushioning bring a pad. It's a very easy, mostly shady walk to the beach, which pleased me. Usually a walk to the beach is hot, sweaty, and a little miserable as you lug your chair, towels, etc. I never felt that way walking from Down East Dream. My one complaint is that there is only four plates, knives, etc. So there are not enough dishes if you need more than one plate per person or to serve from. We will definitely return.

The quiet along the Cape Fear River that time of year made it feel even more peaceful. My villa was absolutely spotless--everything felt fresh, and the living space was thoughtfully laid out. The design makes great use of the space, blending waterfront charm with modern comfort. Even in the winter, the setting is beautiful, with crisp mornings and soft sunsets over the water. It feels tucked away and serene, yet you're still just minutes from downtown Wilmington. The ladies were so thoughtful and left several extras such as coffee/creamer for the first morning and detergent for a post vacation load of laundry. Our ONLY complaint is the bed- has to be the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in which is making for restless nights- beyond that, 5 stars for sure! We will be back!

I was happy to see that they have several pet friendly properties to choose from and their pet fee was not a bazillion dollars. (Our dog is still unemployed and some of these companies charge up to $300!!!) I reserved a property online late Saturday evening and received a call from a representative at 0900 on Sunday. I wish I remembered the lady's name but she was friendly, helpful, and was able to answer all of my questions about the property. We received an email 3 days prior that the property would be ready by 4:30 pm (the usual time is 4:00 pm) I wondered why it was 30 minutes later but we never manage to get the beach before check in time anyway. We were informed that the door code would be provided the day of check-in. We received an early text at at 3:00 pm that the property was ready! We have been vacationing at Carolina Beach for several years. Our property, Tide & Seek was hands down one of the CLEANEST we have ever rented. (I travel with my own cordless vacuum and cleaning supplies - yes I am that kind of special.) It was so nice to not have to clean while unpacking! There was a nice 3 ring binder with all property and local information and little cooler bag with a few extra starter items (paper towels, trash bags, and tissue paper) which are always appreciated. I also liked the fact that I could opt to bring my own towels and linens to save a few dollars instead of having them added to the rental price. Be sure to sign up to receive their emails with specials. They have been running great promos offering gas cards, % off, and offering short stays. Every little bit counts ... so you can go get more Britt's Donuts! We had an issue with our stove a few days into our trip. I called the office and a very nice maintenance guy came out right away. A second electrical repair guy came out a little later, figured out the wiring issue, and was back with part before lunch! He was super nice and very knowledgeable about the area. Talk about fantastic customer service!! We loved pet friendly, Tide & Seek so much that we are already planning to rent the property for our next vacation! Unit was ok. Needed updating. Main concern is the Victory's response to the noise complaint of the…read moreunit above us, which they also manage. We dealt with 5 nights of the renters above us having kids running around, screaming, jumping off furniture, and banging on the floor until 11:30 at night, and doing it again at 7am. We could hear the children jumping off the bed in the bedroom above us. Tried to address it to the renter and they were rude. So we contacted Victory and they did nothing about it. Won't rent from them again.
