I found this little gem on accident, all because I needed a box of peppers for my next project and didn't want to pay $80 for a box. Check out Leduc Produce Market. They are located at: 4617-61 ave, Leduc (its the the set of buildings behind the main ones). Their hours are from 10-6. Their produce is from local sources (obviously until winter hits), and the best bang for your buck!

I love this store and I'm happy they are very close to us! :)…read moreThe store design is fantastic and I love their uniform. It has a very warm and welcoming vibe. We find products here that are usually hard to find somewhere else. The staff have been very friendly and helpful and when you have a question, they won't leave you till you find what you needed even if you ask them store manager. I love their butchery department and bakery the best. They always have fresh and high quality products that you can smell it from the opposite side of the store. Overall I have been always enjoying my shopping experience there and I highly recommend them! :)

Freson Bros which is an Albertan family owned grocery chain that opened in Edmonton back in March…read more The store emphasizes on Alberta grown produce. There was lots of hype surrounding its opening and there were long lines waiting to go in when it first opened. I checked it out a few weeks after it opened and I'm not sure if it is worth the hype. There were a wide variety of local company products that can be bought at this store which is great. However the goal of my last visit was to try their in store made food. The ready made food in store was very disappointing. The Alberta Pork Ribs which they claim to be cherry wood smoked for 18 hours was very dry and salty. The hand cut potato wedges and potato salad were nothing special and got too salty. The classic smashed burger was a normal burger that wasn't worth the price. The large chili was overpriced for the portions that was given and reminded me of the chili you can get at Tim Hortons for less the price. The ready made food was just really mediocre. Perhaps just stick with doing grocery shopping here. Ordering the ready made food here is not a good idea.

Big front sign so you can't miss it! Was greeted warmly upon arrival. Staff was happy to tell me about the products I was unfamiliar with. I tried the: Classic donut: 10/10: soft, doughy, exactly like a donut should be. Petite Fours: 9/10 almond cake in dark chocolate. Was very moist but almond flavor was just a little miss for me. Fudge is made on Fridays so if you want fresh fudge I suggest you come that day or day after!

I was absolutely disappointed in this store and will never go back there again. Such a drop in quality to a store that was so highly thought of.

Wish there was a few designated stalls for this bakery. Clean store. No dine-in. Lots of items were already sold out but they did still have a good selection. Cashier was very friendly. I tried the blueberry and apple butterscotch scones. Blueberry was 10/10. So moist, soft, and cake-like. Apple one was very bland, could not taste the apple or butterscotch. So happy prices and sign and legible and accurate. If I am ever back in the area I would love to try their Chia Sunflower Flax Sourdough bread and the Cheese bread!

And their name lives up to the freshness that everything has! No seating but this place definitely is more of a come and grab what you need and go home to enjoy your perfect loaves. Unfortunately when we went their bread slicer was down, but that didn't stop me from buying a few loaves! I got a loaf of the cheese bread and the cinnamon raisin bread. The cheese loaf was a little on the small side but it has a delightful amount of cheese. But the cinnamon raisin loaf is divine! So many raisins and very tasty- perfect morning, mid morning, afternoon, evening...okay okay I have it all day long it's that good! If you like raisins that is! We also tried a garlic stick for around $1 and it was surprisingly tender and VERY fresh! Not too garlicky for the kids, but we enjoyed it so much I should have bought more. Would have liked to have see a deal on these if you order a bunch. Pastries looked delightful as well so next time I may have to hit those up! Plenty of parking out front, but no bathroom or seating. We came super early on a weekday so it looked like everything was available.

As for selection, it's pretty robust...So many loaves, pastries, specialty breads, prepackaged buns, sweet, savoury, it's really all there. In fact it's a little overwhelming if you don't know specifically what you want. The good thing is that they have a few samples of the day in clear acrylic bread boxes that are pre-sliced...Bonus, they have butter packets and plastic knives to go with it as well as a little information about the bread. I find the food here to be very affordable and generously sized. I bought some kind of Apple bread ring that served about 4 people for $5.95. Not only did it look good, the texture was amazing soft and fluffy. Staff are cheerful & happy to help too. I'm so glad that there's a location in the South end of the city now, I'll definitely be back for more.
