The space is huge--couches, communal tables, and plenty of room to settle in whether you're working, meeting up, or just hanging out. It genuinely functions as a co-working space, which is rare to see executed this well in a coffee shop. There's a lot happening here in the best way: they sell records, infused coffee beans, merch, and even fresh sourdough loaves, giving the place a curated, community-driven vibe. The music sealed the deal--hip-hop with strong Common / A Tribe Called Quest energy--setting a relaxed, soulful tone that makes you want to stay awhile. Coffee-wise, I ordered the matcha with oat milk and it was smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. Quality clearly matters here. Service was another standout: warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly without feeling forced. They also have a bakery case with assorted items (note for fellow vegans: bakery items are not vegan), though the drink options themselves are still accommodating. Overall, Picacho Coffee Roasters is a great spot for quality coffee, good music, and a space that actually invites you to linger. I'll definitely be back.

The Main Street Vintage Mercado is a great addition to the downtown Las Cruces scene…read more This is the perfect stop for shopping, sitting with friends, enjoying an Italian soda, coffee, or a paleta (Mexican popsicle). The owner is extremely friendly and her barista is equally welcoming. When you enter this establishment you are not just a customer but a welcomed guest. Some unique items you may find here: antique dishes, antique lamps, antique furniture, antique chandeliers, unique items such as antique pipe holders and fabric wall hangings. I have no doubt if you are looking for something in particular the owner either has it or will go out of her way to locate it for you. Further, the prices are VERY REASONABLE. As a collector of milk glass I am an avid antique shopper and I have a good handle on pricing. For example there was an antique chandelier priced at $95, and an antique end table priced at $30, and a ornate milk glass vase priced at $14 (I have seen this exact vase located elsewhere for double). I did enjoy a fabulous Raspberry Italian Soda, the perfect amount of flavoring, including whipped cream and a cherry. Super good!!! There are seats for relaxing with friends over a drink or dessert and the shopping is just a fabulous added bonus! Check back at this location as it has just opened and there is more coming in the future according to the owner. I will revisit!

They have since installed their machine so today we were able to get a quick lunch and it was in a word "wonderful." First the coffee. I just got a straight up café latte and it was great. The roast was perfectly balanced and I can say it was worth the wait. My wife had a chai latte which was also great. For my sandwich I chose the Norman Rockwell. I was a little nervous at first because I'm picky about my bread (no wonder bread for me, please) and I wasn't sure what Dave's Killer Bread was. But Dave really knows his bread and the sandwich was delicious. The atmosphere is eclectic but fitting and today we had a musician playing and singing Spanish ballads which was fun. There is also a little antique store that is worth browsing through. The only thing that would have made the experience better is the coffee cups are all disposable even if you are eating in and it would have been nice to have such a good coffee in a real cup. Regardless, this won't be our last visit and it is a great addition to Main Street. On a side note, 10 or 15 years ago my wife and I had a pumpkin soup in Germany that was amazing and has been for us the holy grail of soups. Since that time we've tried to find a recipe or to duplicate it by trial and error to no avail. But today we found that soup right here and it totally made our day. Finding that soup alone made the visit worthwhile.
