On the education side, it houses the TCC Visual Arts, Digital Media and Design, and Mass Communication programs. On the art side, they have different initiatives and programs that promote inspiration, education and collaboration such as art exhibits, installations and education programs. On the event side, I've attended presentations, fundraisers, and other social events. The event hall is a wonderful venue with ample space, parking, professional lighting/sound, and a kitchen. The 9th Street Observation Deck and the Boston Avenue Terrace are my favorite spots. They have a great view of downtown and offer an outdoor venue. It is also Oklahoma's award-winning first "green" sustainable rooftop. The facilities rental prices are all on their website and the staff is great to deal with, always very accommodating and taking health precautions seriously. I have also been very impressed with how they've pivoted due to COVID and continue making things happen. From online galleries and exhibits to virtual workshops, I've loved the versatility! My favorite workshops are the "I Can't" series offered at no cost to the public multiple times throughout the year.

It's so surprising that many people don't know about it. Before it was renovated into an art studio, it was a city water treatment plant. Its parking lot used to be a wading pool. There are some cool black and white photos of what it used to look like in front of the restrooms. The space itself is amazing - super spacious and conducive to various forms of art and the required equipment. They have a jewelry making room with individual stations. There is an entire space designated for handweaving with lots of looms and fabric. An entire clay making section also exists with lots of pottery wheels. There is a big open space that's available for events and other workshops with lots of tables and chairs if needed. The magical thing about this place is that you feel creative as soon as you walk in. There's art and pictures displayed throughout the space and as you look at everything, it makes you want to sign up for all the classes they have. The natural light that floods in due to all the windows is refreshing as well. You can go to their website to check out their programming and workshop schedule. Their directors and coordinators are super friendly and helpful with any questions you might have.

My friend was disappointed about this since she wanted to learn how to flood since they do it all the time on some British baking shoe she watches. The baker did explain that the cookies had to to come pre flooded since that takes so long to dry. we actually didn't want to do a DIY project at all. This place is definitely the place to go to learn something new…read more They have amazing classes such as dancing, PiYo, and all sorts of things, quite a lot of art classes. Photography, art, dancing, voice lessons, acting/drama, and working out for some. To keep track of their classes and schedule they use a really awesome app called "MindBody Connect". They even have a summer workshop going on this summer which my little brother and one of my niece's are going to. They also have a ton of groups! Some of which are the Writer's Inspiration Group, Artist Support Group, and Writing Group. My mom goes to the PiYo classes and enjoys them a lot. I displayed my art there! That's right, you can display your art at this wonderful place! Just contact Byn, the owner and ask. My art is currently hanging on their walls as of 05/24/15 (it may not be there in a few weeks). The decor is beautiful, it has a kind of Tumblr feel to it, yet vintage in a way as well. Large crystals sit on unique tables in the cozy first room. Plenty of sitting space in the first room as well. Their dog wanders throughout their place, greeting customers and trying to even attempt to go home with them! The dog is really well minded, and it just will steal your heart as you go to your class(s)! This place can be difficult for some to find, but that's because it's in a interesting building behind another building. There is also a tree which can block the sign which is why some people have a hard time seeing it. My dad and I had no such trouble and parked in the large parking lot happily. The confusing thing about going in is that next to the door to their place is a door for another place, which I know nothing about and was closed when I went. I almost went in there though! Whoops! *chuckles* There is then a hallway inside from the first room which leads onto several other rooms, one is a office room, another a photograph room (where they take photos!) and another is a storage, and another a makeup room. But a little off of the first room is the room where you would learn dance and have exercise classes, big mirrors and nice floors for working out are in this room, even a SUPER tiny kitchen. Overall, the Always family is so kind and generous and definitely fun, don't be afraid to ask them questions and figure out what you want to learn. I think they give such a needed addition to Tulsa by adding a place where all can learn, talk and have fun. Don't forget to check their site so you can see ALL the listed classes because they keep having more and more classes!

Thank You! I was excited to see her shop had a good supply of glass, tools and accessories! Another successful stained-glass shop in Tulsa area is needed. If you are into stained glass, you know the frustrating circumstances affecting availability of glass and cost of supplies. His teaching style is clear, structured, and rooted in real comedic craft. Cody's picture on the glass caught my eye. They offer film and TV acting classes for adults, teens, and even kids. What I was interested in were his coaching services for public speaking and communication. One of my goals this year is to improve in my skills and become a better and effective public speaker since I seem to find myself in front of a group pretty often in my personal and professional life. I have also recently become aware of how much I depend on "filler words". My most common ones are "um", "like", and "you know". While not a huge deal in regular conversations, professionally, it makes me sound unsure and I would hate for that to impact my credibility. I reached out via the contact form on the website and was able to schedule an initial 1:1 coaching session with the help of Chelsea, the Studio Admin & Assistant. I confess, I was initially uncertain about the whole thing going in, not knowing what to expect. I am happy to report that Cody is worth every penny! He has an impressive and extensive experience in film, television, theatre, and coaching. Tulsa is so lucky to have him. I take copious notes each session to make sure I won't forget his advice and tips. He has a way of making everything so practical. Each session, I'm progressing on my goal. He also shared they'll be modifying the space to allow after-hours events. Can't wait to check that out!
