First on the bus and picked the front seats. We met outside the Pulitzer Fountain. We arrived early so we were there before the bus and the "blue umbrella" you are suppose to watch out for, so at first we weren't sure that we were in the right spot. It was a large white/grey bus and very comfortable. We found that even though it was quite a large group, everyone was very courteous and respectful which made the whole thing very pleasant. The tour took about 3.5 hours and I loved every second. It is mostly driving through NYC and discussing the locations and scenes that were filmed there. They then show clips either before or (mostly) after you drive past the location. It was great. There are three locations you get out of the bus for and they include: The Sex Shop: Least favorite of the drop off locations. Two buses pulled up at the same time and though we were the first ones inside, it filled up so fast to the point of just being stupid. Carrie Bradshaw's Apartment: Well organized. We came up to it in a line and the tour guide took your groups pictures in front. Magnolia's was too busy on a Saturday to have time to pick something up (they apparently move fairly slow), but from what I understand, on less busy days, people are able to get some treats. Steve/Aidan's Bar: $10 cosmopolitans! This space is GORGEOUS. I would love to come back. There is a cosmo station where they have a dedicated person serving the cosmos to the bus tour. I don't usually like cosmos but these tasted like delicious boozy pink lemonade. My friend and I were only here for the day, but there are multiple restaurants, bars and bakeries that were featured on the show that I would love to go back to on my own. They give you a list after the tour which will be helpful for next time. The tour ends at the HBO store. The store is nice but mostly Game of Thrones merchandise. I ALMOST bought the DVD series of Sex and the City because I desperately wanted to binge watch it, but I didn't. Thank God! It was $88 at the store and $50 via Amazon Prime.

We took a short trip to NYC and extended it a few days so we could do just that - play tourist. A Pedicab ride around the park was on my wife's bucket list. I relented, even though I wouldn't say I liked the cold. We found a friendly, enthusiastic driver who explained our options. We selected the one that was right for us, paid, and the ride began. Was the driver knowledgeable? He certainly was when it came to pop culture. He knew enough about John Lennon and Yoko Ono to point out their residence in the Manhattan. He showed us where various films were made, where stars performed, this or that actor's favorite part of the park, etc. When it came to history, which we know a great deal about, his facts weren't always correct, which was a bit troublesome. When we realized we knew more about the park's history than our guide, we were happy with the pop culture and left it at that. I'm sure the caliber of the driver varies from one to the next. I will say he was pleasant and kind. When we entered the cab, he gave us a warm, heated blanket. (Although the cold cut right through it.) Seriously, I would never have chosen to do this on my own. But we did have a good time and got to see things we hadn't seen before. Expensive, but it was worth every penny.

Showed us around Central Park. Was actually nice. Spoke Russian because he said he was from Tajikistan. He offered to take us around Manhattan in the evening and we agreed. He showed us good places . Several weeks passed and he send horrible messages to me! Threatening messages!!!! I am a proud Jew and he knew that. Please, before trusting the business and being nice be aware of who you are trusting! This is scary!

Since Citi Bike is run by Lyft if you already have an account with the Lyft app you can sync your account so you don't have to bother creating anything new with the Citi Bike app. If you happen to have a Lyft Pink membership you get the first 45 minutes of your ride on a traditional bike for free every time. While I was in New York & Jersey I probably grabbed a bike about 7 times each time I was within that 45 minute window so I paid nothing. The app tells you the rate per minutes for a traditional bike and ebike, I think it's around .22 cents per minutes. When you return your rental the app will let you know the bike is actually locked and that your session has ended so you don't have to worry about any crazy charges showing up later on your account. The bikes are useful, with lots of locations so it's really easy to get around town. The only reason I'm not giving a higher review is because the e-bikes aren't the best of absorbing bumps in the road.

App will show open docks "parking" , at a specific station, however, the "open docks" will be frequently be broken = non-operable. Entire stations are CONSISTENTLY offline. That means, entire stations = non-operable. Stations that ARE online consistently full of bikes that either have completely blank screens OR the red light will be on = non operable bikes. The stupid effin TRIANGLES on front of bike- required to dock bike are CONSTANTLY BROKEN making it so you can't even DOCK UR BIKE! So you end up paying for all this extra time. OMG I can't! AMONG MANY OTHER ANNOYING ISSUES. Wish there were a competitor that promised the same exact service as CitiBike and spread themselves all over like CitiBike - BUT actually delivered that service - UNLIKE CitiBike. Cuz I WOULD IMMEDIATELY SWITCH. Alas, there is not. And CitiBike knows this. Hence the exploitation. I HATE THEM.
